Grauntie,Its a traditional Liverpool hearty meal, one very large pan.
Onions sliced and fried off, mince or stewing steak (personal choice)
Lots of carrots and any other veg you happen to have left over, garden peas are good.
3 x oxo cubes dissolved in water added and all boiled up together then simmer for 20 mins
Potatoes as many as you want then simmer for a couple of hours until everything thickened up.
Add salt and pepper serve with beetroot for a hot hearty meal dunk into the gravy with crusty bread if you are like my boys.

It's very tasty! The North Staffordshire equivalent is called Lobby and we always used to get it for school dinner on a Friday! But it was never like home-made Lobby.

Never had it, but have always known what it was. It sounds yummy!

Could you make this in a slow cooker? Sounds delicious.

The report came back from histology with the results from the cyst taken from my DD and it has turned out to be a dermoid cyst thank goodness which is not cancerous, its a collection of allsorts of debris and blood.
DD is still uncomfortable though and had a bleed from one of the incisions but the clinic has dealt with it for her and prescribed stronger pain killers, she goes back to GP this coming Tuesday for another sick note for work and I shall try and get her another month off work.

Good news Glam, but shame that your DD is still in pain. Hopefully stronger meds will help. Tell her to take as much time off as she can. Nobody thanks you these days for rushing back to work.
Believe you can and you're halfway there.
