Qwerty thanks for asking sweetie,I have just spoken to her and she sounds a wee bit brighter than yesterday she is taking oralmorph for pain relief and said she was high as a kite poor thing and had scary dreams.
I made a massive batch of individual cottage pies for the boys when they home from work my kitchen looked like a soup kitchen at one point I couldn't find those bigger foil dishes that I usually use so had to use the size you get for takeaways at the chippy
We are off to Aldi now to do my shop and hers for fresh fruit and packed lunch stuff for the boys next week for work, its hard work being a nanna isn't it

Pleased to hear that your DD is feeling a bit brighter today. Hopefully each day will see an improvement.

It wasn't good of the hospital to send her home so soon after what sounds like a major operation. No wonder there are so many people returning to hospital after they've been discharged too early.

Glamm, I'm glad your DD is getting pain relief, even if it does have side effects. I hope she will be able to reduce the dose fairly quickly then she'll start to feel more like her usual self, and at least she hasn't got to worry about looking after the family with you getting meals organised for them.

I hope you don't get overtired in the process. xx

Daisy thanks so much for asking about my DD,she is so much better and coping very well with the self injections that she has to do every day,she has however experienced very bad brusing to the left side of her stomach which is black and blue not caused by the injections but from the actual surgery so there must have been quite a bit of tugging and prodding to remove the cyst.
We are making sure she rests which is a feat in its self as she is struggling being waited on as she is such a busy person, dad is going down every day and bringing her to my house where I can keep an eye on her.
I'm still doing the cooking for the boys when they come in from work and OH is operating a shuttle service at 5pm so they are all sorted for when they come in from work.
I know they are old enough to cook for themselves but my mothering instincts tell me they can't live on pizza's alone after working all day (the 3 of them work in construction) in the cold weather we are having.
We should hear something next week about the toxicology results from the hospital if I don't hear by next Friday I shall ring them and try and get some answers.

Glamm - I'm sure those boys are loving your cooking, but you're right you can't live on pizzas or takeaways when you are out working in this awful weather. Also I'm sure it helps to reduce your DD's worries about them. I'm so pleased to hear she's coping well with the injections. I'd never thought about bruising, but I suppose it's inevitable with such major surgery. When does she see the doctor again?

Glamm - fingers crossed the doctor doesn't send her back to work too soon.

Oooooh, I love scouse - haven't had it for years! Do you have a recipe or is it more a case of chucking in whatever you have to hand?

Just had a look at a recipe, it sounds delicious, they will want you to cook for them for a long time.
