Thank you everyone remembering my Chemo today.

It nearly didn’t happen as one of my blood levels was borderline low so I had to have another blood test before treatment could be authorised.( Oma I think I remember you saying B had to have his treatment postponed for the same reason).Anyway I scraped through so had the treatment.

I had arranged hospital transport which worked well.Saves me looking for lifts or having taxis. I got home about three o’clock, very tired but okay.

I’ve had a few minor side effects. sore mouth, slight rash etc. and of course tiredness!

Clover, I'm relieved your treatment was able to go ahead. Using the hospital transport must save you a lot of worry about lifts or taxis. I hope the side effects don't bother you too much, and you can get a good night's sleep tonight. Sending big hugs. xxx

Clover have they given you mouth wash for the sore mouth ? It’s not nice but it does relieve the soreness ,
B always got the rash too
Sleep when you can no matter what time of day ,

Yes your right B has a few times had to wait a few days till his bloods have regulated , frustrating when your all geared up for treatment but better be safe than sorry xxx

Very sensible using hospital transport Clover. Saves an awful lot of stress and worry about arranging lifts. When D was in the nursing home, they used to arrange hospital transport for his appointments. I was so grateful for it, you were dropped at the door of the department, the drivers helped getting the wheelchair in and out and all I had to do was follow behind with the paperwork!

I hope the side effects aren't too bad and that you've been given meds to help you. Sleep whenever you need to!

                  Sending love xx

Sorry I’ve been AWOL ladies but I’ve been going through a bit of a rough patch. I had the 2nd Chemo which was fine but the next day I developed a high temperature and ended up in hospital for five days having IV antibiotics. Not felt much like reading posts etc.so hope everyone is okay.Must try to do better now I’m home!

The main thing is looking after yourself , don’t you worry about us we understand ,
All these things happen that you don’t expect as the chemo is killing good cells as well as bad and your immune system is taking a battering .
Rest , lots of nice food if you can stomach it and plenty to drink .

Its time to look after you not worry about anyone or anything else . Hugs xxx

Clover, you've been in my thoughts and I'm sorry you've hit a rough patch. As Oma says, chemo doesn't just target the 'baddie' cells and I think it can hit different people in different ways.

The most important thing is to look after yourself in every way. Is someone doing shopping for you, or are you shopping online? Are you keeping warm, because I think chemo can make you feel the cold more.

Sending love, hugs and hope that you will feel better soon. xxx
