For a variety of reasons we haven't been able to cut our back lawn for over 3 weeks. With the sunshine and showers it's grown, and grown, and grown until now it's got a 'comb over' . I've just trimmed the edges but it's too wet to mow. Why doesn't someone invent a hairdryer for lawns!!!

The council around ours seem only to cut the grass when its chucking down with rain so all the wet grass then gets dragged onto the road when they drive off the grassed area , but the grass survives ,
I suppose its not advisable with a electric mower though cutting wet grassIm not fat just 6ft too small

We no longer have a green lawn in our front garden , it is now brown with the odd bit of green here and there as OH has been scarifying the grass, he has removed all the dead grass and moss , this has taken weeks to do and yesterday he sowed grass seed over the entire 'lawn' so fingers crossed we get our lush green lawn back .Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Qwerty, OH says I never cut it short enough, but if I cut it too short it will be full of moss. As it is it's full of buttercups. You can't win! It doesn't get a great deal of sun at this time of year, so it never gets dry enough go cut properly and I hate to see it all chewed up be the mower.
The mower's petrol, so we're safe from electrocution."Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "
