Lawn horrors

I react the same way to the word lawn as Daisy does to the word Christmas. For some unknown reason OH has taken to scarifying, trimming, cutting, killing, feeding it ...you name it! He has lengthy discussions with our lovely neighbour on what's best to get, to kill off a certain purple flower that grows on the grass etc etc. She has it too.

Myself ...as long as it's kept doggy doo free & grandchildren can play on it, oh & I might add I like the dandelions, daisys & purple flowers.😉

Well I gave mine a good going over with disinfectant at tea time , always do when had the dog , fill several buckets with it throw on brush in then hose it all down ,all nice and clean again How you doing Nana ? xx

Nana - sorry - I'll try not to obsess about that grassy stuff in the back garden. My excuse is that if that area looks nice and tidy - and green - nobody notices that the rest of the garden is very neglected. I spent about an hour yesterday afternoon gouging grass and weeds out of the patio - I did about 5 flags and the patio wraps right round the back of the house! I think it will take at least 2 years to do all of it!!!

Gem - we haven't got one of those - I use long-handled shears! I think there's some sort of attachment for lawn edging on our allotment tiller, but it's a job to get it all set up and I can whizz round with the shears much quicker. I've got a little gadget to use on the patio, but I think I need - and deserve - a long handled one so I don't have to do it on my hands and (creaky) knees! LOL

I have a burner thing for patio weeds but you have to catch them when they are small.

Mmmmmm ...... the weeds on our patio definitely aren't small! It's rained too hard today to do anything in the garden!
