Christmas decorations that you don't like.

We never have a wreath on the door, hubby doesn't like them. Says they remind him of death.
My pet hate is poinsettias. Don't like them on cards, wrapping paper or the plants.
I used to work with someone who hated cards with candles on.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Love wreaths and poinsettias, and most things Christmas

OH had a friend whose house was full of annoying Christmas figures, some quite large, which were battery operated and were musical. I found them tacky and annoying (but didn't say so of course )

Oh dear Nanto. Fancy disliking poinsettias. I love them. My hubby used to buy me one every year. This year I managed to get a pink poinsettia, it matches my colour scheme in the lounge. This is the first time I have seen them in pink. Usually they are red or sometimes white.
        I hate plastic tacky decorations.

Oh dear, Sunshine. I dislike poinsettias too. 😬
Bows, I dislike the fashion of bows tied around the front door top to bottom. I also dislike bows on Christmas trees. Yes, I’m completely odd. πŸ€ͺ

We need a room 101 for these poor bows and poinsettias!

We have a reindeer stands on two feet in brown felt battery operated dances and sings to Rockin around the Christmas tree , it drives me scatty the kids play it all the time when here and O H insists it’s in the hearth each year

I like bows and poinsettias, they are on the wreath I made to go on the front door. It comes out every year.

Whenever we go to the garden centre, DH goes around setting off all the singing and dancing figures, drives me mad but he will do it!

Dislike huge plastic decorations outside houses , blow up snowmen and Santa’s.
Gem, we had a friend whose Christmas tree would start singing Christmas songs whenever anyone walked pass it, it was horrendous.

I like poinsettias but they don’t seem to like me, within a week they are usually dead !

I had a poinsettia the yr before last, (2016) & would you believe it died just before the Christmas of 2017.

Christmas tat is what I don't like.

Grandma2 - I think it's too early as well. I'm the grumpy old woman on here over Christmas. I think 20th December is plenty early enough to start thinking about it - but I do accept that starting to buy cards, presents etc at the beginning of December saves a last minute rush. I also have to say in my defence, I really enjoy it when it's here.

I don't like tacky blow-up figures, but I love poinsettias and can usually keep them for at least a year, although the lovely showy bracts aren't usually as soon the second time around. I also love the tiny dainty cyclamen.

For some strange reason, I dislike the signs outside houses saying "Santa, stop here".

Never seen bows tied round doors GM!

I dislike lots of lights outside houses especially if they're just a random selection.

A house in our village has their front garden covered with what looks like a white sheet and light up reindeer pulling a sleigh on it......I bet they'll be fed up to the back teeth with it by the time Christmas comes! I'm glad I don't live next door!

Love poinsettias and we have a wreath on front door, but one year I made a long spray of leaves and baubles etc and used that instead. Made a change from a round wreath.

Like Daisy, I think it all starts much too early.
