    2018 holidays!

    Have you booked yours yet?

We haven't apart from a 5 day one in Portugal for OH and her golf friends.
We're not sure where to go. We love Majorca, and OH fancies Croatia and I fancy Malta. We have been to neither. With DD3 and OH planning to spend several months in Canada next year, we would like to go out to see them, but of course cant make any plans until they have firm plans!

We are going somewhere in March and we still have our murder mystery weekend to do plus husband has booked holiday in November, probably Barbados. We have been researching the two month Barbados trips in the last few days although that won’t start for a while yet. We think we might rent the flat out while we are away to fund the holiday it as I say it is only research at this stage. We are also going to Wales to stay with my sister for a long weekend in June as it is her 60th birthday, she has so much planned I hope she has been saving her pennies. They are going to Cornwall for a party with her husbands family as his daughters don’t like going to Wales and ghen she is coming back and having one with her family and friends.

Dont know where we will go in March but it will be in Europe I expect.

Nothing booked yet, but we are planning to go back to Las Vegas,
          for our 50th anniversary.

Maybe we will go away March/April.

We had a cruise booked but we cancelled it when DH’s problems started. So no plans at the moment but we hope we’ll be able to get away somewhere later in the year, even if only for a few days.

We booked last week for September in Majorca for my birthday week and are looking at Paris in May for 4/5 days it is years since I have been to Paris and May will enable us to celebrate Johns birthday so he doesn't feel left out of any celebrations LOL.We have to be careful on the dates as one of our new babies is due on the 20th .
Some time during the year I want to go over the the Isle of Man for a few days the ferry terminal is at Pier Head just across the River from me Johns family live on the Island and he used to spend all the summer & Easter holidays there when he was at school and knows the Island like the back of his hand but I have never ever been even though we have been married all these years so looking forward to that.

We have no plans yet! We're not good at planning months ahead. We have friends coming over from Canada for 3 weeks - probably in June - which w'ere really looking forward to. We have a general aim to spend one week a month in the caravan, and hopefully will manage one or two longer trips - perhaps not until the Autumn when GD2 starts school. BIL and SIL in America have invited us over (we went there a couple of years ago) but I don't think we'll be able to make it. I feel very torn about going - I'd love to see them, but I know they'd want us to stay with them, but I think it's a bit too much for them. They're both getting on a bit - getting old can be a b****r.

Daisy we neve stay with relatives when we go abroad, we politely tell them we would rather be self sufficient. We could stay with our friends in Barbados whe we go but then they would feel they need to occupy us and that is too much to expect.

We go off to Gran Canaria on the 15th Jan. Have booked flights to Portugal for April, June and September. Have a long weekend for 18 people in a large house in Cromer for all our sons, dils, grandsons and similar of our best friends family. This will be chaotic! We have a wedding in France in May, so may go in the Motorhome and tag on a few days .... more Motorhome adventures currently in our heads! Followed by Portugal October/November still to be booked.

I didn’t do much last year as we moved house. HE went on several golfing jollies though. We did go to the lakes for a week’s walking but that got cut short as I got a chest infection. 🙄
I’m going to try really hard to stay healthy this year as we have booked a week in Suffolk walking, we have been offered a friends villa in Spain for a holiday and another friend has started a B&B in the south of France and has invited us over. HE is off to Portugal golfing and then we will go away September/October as I have a big birthday which warrants a big holiday! All this will be great if I can fend off the bugs.

Are you feeling better now Grauntie?? I hope you keep well for the rest of the year.
I know how you feel - the only holiday booked this year in our household is a golfing one to Portugal which I wont be going on!
