Nothing planned here, but want too....I have a 3 day long weekend booked away with my girly friends, 2-5th June, got a great big hub thing in Keilder so I think its some form of "posh" camping, so really looking forward to that, OH looking after his mam at the minute she cant really be left, so not sure if we will book something or not, if not my 2 older girls have a week booked in Cyprus might join them if allowed...
If we book abroad then probably just me and OH, if something more local, a few hours drive or so, then that would be a family holiday...

We have 2 weeks in Florida next month, booked since last August. As it is so early in the year I hope we go somewhere else later on, for a week.
Nothing planned with family this year. I love going on holiday with my family, and it has gone well every time we have.
GRU get together at some point of course, and I hope to meet up with the Northern ladies again, but we have no plans yet.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

We have been so lucky over the years travelling to some wonderful far flung places, so now we have decided to see more of our own country. We have booked 3 separate weeks away visiting the Prembrokeshire coast in Wales, the Lake District and Scotland. I'm really looking forward to it especially Wales as that area is where my family originate from. We have lots of other places on our list so I don't see us doing any more long haul holidays, as least not soon.

No long haul for us either this year. A week in Coniston and a few weekends away to friends and what ever my pal and I decide to do for our 50th year of friendship. OH and I may go to Majorca in the autumn if our summer isn't up to much. We all like to do different things in our family so we holiday separately.Women are like tea bags; you never know how strong they are until they are put in hot water.

We haven't made any firm plans yet, as we are having some work don on the house - probably next month. But we intend to use the caravan as much as possible for lots of short breaks.

We are fortunate that we holiday often. We had 11 nights in Gran Canaria last month, April off to our place in Portugal where I will have my 60th birthday! June is my birthday cruise on a 5. Mast clipper ship, Royal Clipper from Rome to Venice, with 3 nights in Rome pre cruise and 2 nights in Venice post cruise. September back to Portugal and Oct/November Portugal. We usually have a couple of weeks with grandchildren in September, but big one starts school in September and they are going away we're on our cruise. Then we have a wedding weekend in York in March, and also inMarch my best friend who is 60 two weeks before me, we hired a house in Cromer , sleeping 19! 12 adults and our combined 5 grandchildren are going, so both sets of our children are celebrating with us in Cromer it should be crazy!! Busy times ahead....Grandmothers are just antique little girls - author unknown

In a Couple of weeks time we will go somewhere mid week for three days probably in England but poossibly not if we can get a Heathrow flight to somewhere. In March we are going for a week to Fuerenventura where ŵe have booked a bungalow in a holiday resort which has some very good write ups. Fly from Gatwick but decent times so will go on the coach from Heathrow. We now have a bus that runs from outside of our house to the airport, takes ten minutes top whack, well two actually which is very handy. In May we are doing a murder mystery weekend but haven't booked anything yet. It has to be something driveable for me and we have £200 of vouchers from two sons and dils toward it. It will be our 25th wedding anniversary (although we have been together for over thirty years) and we did one a few years ago, great fun. Then we will do our usual two weeks around November time which we have not properly discussed yet. Between May and November we might do a few odd trips but never in the school holidays.
We usually go as a couple but a couple of years ago we did a New Years Eve in the New Forest with Sadie, Joe, son and dil. That was nice but the only other time they suggested us going away with them they let slip that it would be good to have resident babysitters! Err no I do not think so...... Even in the New Forest Sadie was with us constantly not that we minded of course but to go on holiday and be in charge of the little ones is too much especially as we are both still working after all we do need a bit of a rest!
Next year when I will be working a shorter week we might do a bit more going away as I have agreed with my line manager that I would not do specific days because the nature of my job is such that I would need to be flexible so I could occasionally do a Friday and Monday as days off or a Thursday and Friday etc.
We do still have a bit of work to do in the flat, the bedrooms for instance and, although the bathroom was only done a few years ago the taps are loose and half hanging off. Problem is that husband tiled the bath in to match the floor and walls (v expensive tiles as well!). We also need hall and stairs redecorating and new bed with under trundle in children's room to make more room but we have worked out that we can manage to pay for all of that if I keep working full time for the next year.
If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together
