Zizi - so is tomorrow (Thursday) the day you fly off to the sun, leaving us poor souls to brave the mist, fog and dank November weather?

Yes, up at 4.45 bus to Heathrow at 5.55am (a short walk) to bus stop. Take off 9.30am. All packed except tomorrow's make up. Because of long stopovers (Miami and Trinidad) I have carefully packed a change of clothes and underwear plus, although I have finished my antibiotics for cystitis, I am worried that it might come back during the flight or stay overs so have to take certain supplies. I kind of think I am being obsessive but I just feel more comfortable making sure I have everything needed just in case.

I emailed the hotel and asked if we could possibly get into our room earlier (checking time 15.00hrs) as we will be there at about 7am. They have said they will do their best but it is an all inclusive resort and AI won't start until 15.00. We have told them that is absolutely fine and are happy to pay for anything we use use until then. Probably breakfast, a couple of beers and wine (not breakfast and beer and wine at the same time of course)

Zizi - safe journey. Do you have a few hours at Miami? I think it's an amazing airport, although doubtless changed quite a bit since I was last there. The last time we were on the adjacent runway to Concorde waiting for take off! I don't blame you taking all your supplies with you - you don't want your holiday spoiled by cystitis. By the way, on holiday you can have beer with breakfast if you want!!! Relax and have fun. xxx
