For this year's holiday of course GD's recently renewed passport is fine
As we are going on holiday with them in July, they will need to apply for the babies passport pretty soon after he arrives, to avoid a panic this year!
When booking their flights for the holiday, DD came to enter the families names. She didn't know what to put for the baby, as yet unborn, but wil here by then, and will be travelling with us. She looked it up, and the procedure is to enter UNBORN in the first name section and BABY in the surname!! Once the baby has been born you telephone them and they change the the ticketing details to the childs name. We never knew that!

Gem - neither did I! You also have to have a passport photo for the baby! The youngest I ever did was just 3 days old.

We had to do that Gemini for our baby coming to Portugal with us in September. We put Baby and our Surname. We also had to put a fictional date of birth that had already happened, as you cannot book a ticket with Monarch with an unborn. We have to ring with his date of birth and name, now he's here it can get sorted. They are going to make an appointment at the Register Office to register his birth next week. Then they will do the passport.

That's interesting Avo. With Jet2 it seems you can book for an unborn with no date.

My GD was 4 months old when she had her passport photo done, GS was over a year old. It will be interesting to see how DD manages a baby this young!
