Enfys when we first went to Florida DD3 was 7. She had a scrapbook with parkmaps, tickets and all sorts - even paper napkins from the parks with Mickey on them

We saved all sorts, Gem. But she enjoyed making it.

Both GS1 and GD both talked extensively about Florida when I picked them up from school this week

Gem, it's hardly surprising - it's not long now.

I don't think they could think about it until after the Christmas season was alll done with, then on to holidays

Very sensible - enjoy one thing at a time.

How many weeks before you go?

                              Plans are moving on!
All have purchased their Disney tickets. All but DD2 and family have completed ESTAs.
I have booked a table for lunch for us all in The Rainforest Cafe in Animal Kingdom for the day we do that park.
I have marked in my diary all the dates on which I have to book online FastPasses (30 days ahead) for Disney. We don't need to do this for Universal parks, water parks and of course not on the days we stay at the villa, so it's not every day. On the days I do it however I have to be online at 7 am US time.
This is slightly complicated by the fact that the US clocks got forward earlier than ours do, and they go forward on the 2nd day of my FP bookings. So the 5 hours difference becomes 4, until our clocks change. This means I have to book at 12 noon one day and 11 am the next and for the rest of the bookings!
I hope they all grateful to me for all these efforts!! I know they are really

Gem - you will need a holiday after making all those arrangements, and as for coping with the various time differences - good luck!

The year we went to the west coast for 3 weeks we had all sorts of complications with the time differences. We were hovering on two time zones anyway for most of the time, then you go into the Reservations, who don't recognise summer time. It felt quite possible that there'd be a day when you got up for dinner, had breakfast and ended up with lunch before bed time!! I was forever asking very puzzled, but polite Americans what time zone we were in and was it summer time or not!!

It seems odd that Universal parks can cope without Fast Passes, but Disney need them booked so far ahead.

                                Have you started packing yet???
