Ah Daisy, Universal don't cope without fast passes!
Theirs are called Express Pass, and you pay for them, over and above what you pay for your ticket! Disney Faspass is included in your ticket price. Universal Express are around $80 or more EACH, so a lot. Last time OH and I managed to see everything we wanted without one. This time with more of us and it being a busy time, we may have to give in and buy them. You can get them on the day.

Your West Coast experience sounds very confusing!

The unfair thing about Disney Fastpass is guests who stay in Disney accommodation or 'Onsite' as it is known can book at 60 days ahead. We off-siters have to wait until 30. This is why it's important to be online the minute it opens as most of the best rides and times have already been picked over.

I haven't actually started packing, but, I have chosen the clothes I am taking then put them all together in a wardrobe

This all takes me back to our trips, Gem. How exciting, not long now 😀

Bought back such great memories, so have changed my avatar 😀

Enfys - what a lovely avatar, and if it brings back great memories all the better.

Gem - I thought I remembered paying extra to go in to Universal early one day, but way back then it wasn't a lot of money. Perhaps all the theme parks have got greedier. Disney effectively bribe you to stay onsite.

It's a good job you are so organised.

Lizzie, I do love holiday planning and I should have started my own travel business I think. Too late now!
This is not without it stresses however, especially this time as its not just OH and I who may not get the rides we want.

Gem - yes you should have started a travel business, but then you might not have had much time for GRU. I know two ladies who've started travel businesses - one in Toronto and the other in the UK. The UK one was officially her son's but his other business was taking up too much time and my friend stepped in to 'help'. That was a good few years ago, but it's very successful, and she is now starting to take a back seat - officially - but I can't see her retiring completely.

We are fully aware that we may not be going to Florida due to the Coronanvirus.
We are continuing to plan as if we are though and trying to stay positive and hope for the best.

Oh, Gem. I do hope it is ok. Yes, stay positive and hope for the best.

I've just had a look on CNN news and there are only 4 cases in Florida at the moment. The worst is Washington State and they seem to be centred on a nursing home in the suburbs of Seattle (as it happens, very close to the facility my BIL and his SIL have moved into, but their DD assures me they are all ok).

I do hope everything goes okay for your trip Gemini. My GS2 has just come back from Bologna and his mother my DD has asked him not to come this weekend as planned in case they have been exposed to the virus. He is a Physio and the haven't stopped him working, I do hope they don't succumb to the virus.

Gem B and I were saying the same this morning , we wondered if you had considered this ,the conversation arose after the news about Flyby going bust ,
We said after the trouble of having to book flights again we hoped the virus wouldn't disrupt your holiday instead .

We are keeping everything crossed for you xxxxxx

Plant - has your GS2 had a check up? I suppose he's well informed about symptoms.
