RIP Ken lovely man, he was born and died in the same house all his life, married his partner a few days ago after a 40 yr relationship, someone joked he should have died 10 yes ago but they couldn’t get him off the stage 🙂
Qwerty - that's so true about not getting him off stage. He would often overrun for an hour or more! When OH and I played in a group we had the same agent as Ken and he always stayed close to his roots, and never happier than when he was making people laugh.

I got up to this very sad news this morning the whole of Liverpool in mourning such a sad sad day,he will always be remembered with great affection here.
He opened some Retirement Homes for McCarthy & Stone when I worked for them and as Qwerty says you couldn't get him off the floor when he started with his performance he overstayed his time by 2.5 hrs at the time he was older than some of the residents what a funny man.
I am so glad he married Ann after all this time 40 yrs wow!!
My dds got us tickets to see him for oh 60 birthday very funny man and did not have to swear to get a laugh like most of new ones when I told a work mate he said you better take a flask and sarnies just watched the tribute to Bruce last night another great performer
