    Lord Snowden has died.

    Lord Snowdon, the former husband of Princess Margaret, has died at the age of 86. Buckingham Palace said the Queen had been informed, but did not comment further.
    Sometimes I forget to like posts,but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

    Nanto - thank you for posting that.

    Irrespective of his royal connections (which I'm sure opened a lot of doors for him) he was a brilliant photographer - always innovating, but still pulling off the 'set pieces' for royal occasions. He was one of the first photographers to do candid photos (ie not posed) and he caught the Swinging Sixties perfectly. RIP.

      I agree Daisy, he was a very good photographer.

        I totally agree ladies he was a fab photographer and he caught the 60s to perfection, he was also very attractive compared with the other members of the Royal Family I was very jealous of Princess Margaret until I realised what her private life was like.

          I have been reading an account of his life this week, he had so many affair and actually had fathered a child which was born 3 weeks after they were married. He had a baby with partner 30 years younger than him, when he was 67. He certainly was a very talented photographer and a charming man.
          What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare
