It moved me, too, Gem. The parents of those children should feel very proud of them. When anyone is in a crisis situation (as the Ukrainians are) it must make them feel loved and supported and a little less isolated to know that people from all walks of life in so many countries care about them.
Yes, they need practical support as well, but gestures like this must help to keep their hopes for peace alive. Well done to those children.
I think it's heart-warming as well to see all the lorries piled high with things needed by the refugees setting off for Poland."Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

It also makes our children feel they are doing something to support the children of the Ukraine in a small way ,
Children are scared what they hear adults talking about and what is on the news so anything to channel their minds is a good thing .
I read on FB one mother explained this terrible war to children as a bully in the play ground wanting his own way ( Putin ) ,
and a group of friends (UN) making a pinky promise to stop him bullying , the way it was put was really good at explaining things to them .
Im not fat just 6ft too small
