Plant - I see what you did there - the die/dye is cast!!!

It was very long for me when we were in Brum. Although I've had very little off the length the subtle change in shape and a bit of thinning out makes it feel and look much lighter. I sound a bit like an apple tree that's been pruned, don't I!

Glad you got it sorted Daisy. I envy you your grey/white hair. I've tried growing out my colour a few times but hated the telltale band around my head. One day.πŸ‘΅

Nana - 'roots' are fashionable now! My hairdresser, who has very dark brown hair and a few stray grey ones colours hers, but her latest is a dark red colour on her hair, but not near the roots! The effect was actually very stylish and looked Hollywood glamorous!

You could have subtle high/low lights from the roots right through, and gradually change the shades as it grew out. You could give yourself a 'get better' present - there's nothing like a new hairdo to lift your spirits.

Go for it Nana. Had my hair cut this morning, a few inches off, feel better now it's a bit shorter.

For many years, from my early teens I had waist length hair, no fringe. Then in my early 30's I had a fringe cut in. A couple of years later I had my very long hair cut to shoulder length. Apart from changing the style of my fringe from fluffing up my curls to straightening it, the style has pretty much stayed the same ever since, going on for 30 years!!
I like this length as I like it 'long' but not too long now, and want to be able to put it up or tie it back, which I can.
I sometimes think I would like a change, but have no idea what!
