    Vivid Dreams

    I had a horrid dream the other night, I dreamed I had murdered three people and they were in the cellar. I was very concerned that they would start to smell soon so I had to do something. I thought I was awake worrying about it, but I must have been asleep. It wasn't till I had reasoned that I couldn't be guilty because I haven't got a cellar that I was able to sleep easy. Madness!! I couldn't kill a fly. I don't watch TV much, and not horror films, so I do not have a clue where it came from.
    Another dream I have had a few times is that my Mother is in a home and I have forgotten to visit for a long time. She was in a home and I visited every week without fail. It was a 200mile round trip so I couldn't go more often than that.
    I'm wondering whether someone puts something in the toothpaste here......
    Does anyone else have weird dreams?....please oh please say you do, 😬

    I do too, it's horrible isn't it. I don't have them very often but when I do they are so real. Last week I dreamt I opened the door to someone and they stabbed me in the neck! I was asking all my friends for help,and they all ignored me...even DH. I woke up so cross with him, I nearly hit him😱. Don't know where that came from.

      I have very vivid dreams and sometimes I wake and I'm convinced they real . Last week I dreamt that my DD was missing she was only a toddler and I knew she was in a windy tunnel but no one would help me get her out so I was using a little child's sand castle spade to dig holes in the rock to tunnel down to her , usually I can figure out what was on my mind like hearing it on TV or reading something about , but no idea what this was about I must admit it did bother me for a few hours after I woke

        Oma - I bet your horrible dream was after the scare over DD. It must have been on your subconscious mind, even though you knew she was ok.

        GM - that must have been really unpleasant.

        Enfys - I bet you don't want to open the door at all now.

        I sometimes have weird dreams - not really horrible, but sometimes they seem like a story, as though I'm reading them in a book!

          A few nights ago, I dreamt that a friend of ours had died. As we hadn't seen or heard from him for a few weeks, hubby rang him when I told him about my dream.
          All was well.
          Sometimes I forget to like posts,but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

            Over the years I have had several horrible dreams . One in particular doesn't sound that horrific but it sends shivers down my spine.
            I opened the from door and a man was there with his arms open and he kept walking towards me with a horrible grin on his face , I was walking backwards trying to scream and I couldn't make a sound. I was woken up by OH who said I was screaming in my sleep.
            Years ago OH had a dream that he had sold our eldest son. He woke me up convinced it was true. He wouldn't settle until we both went into his bedroom for him to see that DS was in fact fast asleep in his bed.
            Has anyone every experienced 'sleep paralysis ' ? I have. It's very scary. I was a wake but unable to move or speak. It only lasted a few seconds but its something I will never forget.

              I often have vivid dreams especially recently but I think that is because of my anxiety. Like Oma I can usually pin point where the dream came from but sometimes it is impossible. Strangely I often have dreams involving our old shop which we closed eighteen years ago! I have often woken in the morning trying to figure out if something was a dream or a fact and yes, I have also had sleep paralysis. Last night I had a dream which involved a school friend who I have not seen or heard of for years, it was not good. It also involved being in a bar with some people who I know I know but I cannot remember who they are which is frustrating.

                Glad I'm not alone. Last night I was reading 'After Anna', a book I have struggled to get into, but it has become riveting! Scenarios that you shouldn't read before sleep! I don't remember dreaming a thing! The thing that jumps out is the impossible situations we dream we are in, and no help from anyone is forthcoming. Maybe our brain says 'what would happen if' and we dream the rest....

                  GM, these type of dreams are horrible, and as you say, it takes your mind a while to work out that it couldn't have happened.

                  I have had many disturbing dreams over the years. Once fully awake I am left with great relief that whatever terrible thing it was hasn't happened.At the same time I feel most disturbed by having had the dream!

                    One of the worst dreams, which I think I wrote about on the previous forum, was about mislaying a grandchild!

                    In reality, this GC didn't exist, but in my dream she did. It was my GDs baby sister. GD (then 4 or 5) myself and nameless baby girl in pram went shopping. Once we got back to DDs I realised we had left the baby outside a shop! There was a party at DDs lots of people there. DD however was not there. She was away with work, but due back. I was desperate to find the baby before her mum knew she was gone. No one at this party, including the babies own father or grandfather would help me!!!!
                    DD returned and once someone told her what had happened. She turned to me and said "You are dead to me now". It was a horrible dream

                      A years ago DH went through a spate of dreaming and make so much noise I would wake up. I could have a whole conversation with him whilst he was still asleep. He was usually talking rubbish and I would end up with the giggles. The worst time however, was when he woke me up laughing so loudly but couldn't tell me what was so funny! In the morning he remembered nothing.

                        On the subject of sleep talking , I have had the pleasure of sharing a room with Libra Gran and in her sleep she can talk for England 😀 honestly full conversations , she could never tell a lie or keep a secret she would spit it out in her sleep 😁

                          OH just telling me about his dream last night and this is unusual for him as he never remembers a dream in fact he's convinced he doesn't dream .
                          He dreamt he was sitting in the sitting room it was early morning still dark outside when there was a massive explosion , he looked outside and our neighbours house had blown up , he ran down and managed to pull our neighbour out and was doing CPR on her trying to give her mouth to mouth, then I was pulling him away saying stop you can't do anything it's only her head her body isn't attached ,
                          we were watching Die Hard last night lots of explosions and there was a advert on about robots and a head on the table , so it must have been all jumbled in his head 😊

                              Have you ever held an actual conversation with a sleeping person? Did LG actually talk to you Oma? I have tried with OH when he has been talking in his sleep but he just shuts up!
