I always associate crisps with kitkats (chocolate not cat food!) as that's what I used to buy with my pocket money. Love licorice but have to be careful or I would end up spending the night on the loo! Love crispy fat on pork chops but try not to eat it all. We are like Jack Spratt - OH doesn't eat fat but I do. GS2 was trying to put a little of each food type on his fork the other day - took him a while but he got there in the end. DD2 used to insist on having pasta on one dish and sauce on another. When she worked in the Sainsbury cafeteria they had a man who came in every night and had rice in one bowl and curry in another whilst telling them how much better the Tesco cafeteria was - on her last day DD2 suggested he went there instead!

I don't think I have any food fads although I really do not like liquorice or marzipan (although I love almonds). I would not choose to eat a sausage roll unless I was starving. I like crackling on pork, like lamb, beef and chicken. chicken is my favourite, really do not like Turkey at all. Not awfully keen on offal but neither is husband although he does like liver and bacon so, being the selfless and wonderful wife I am, I make a liver and bacon casserole from time to time. I have to make it because when he makes it he does great big fat lumps of liver and bacon and it just spoils the whole thing for me. It isn't my favourite but it does have to be in ladylike bite side chunks not his type. he also puts too much onion in, in big chunks.

Husband will do toast in the morning if he is not on shift and he puts the butter on just in the middle of the toast. Annoying! It has to be properly spread and on a tea plate with a paper napkin (although I use proper napkins for table meals).

OK I will revise my first sentence. I do have food fads.......

Hubby loves liquorice (where we live, it's called spanish) don't know why, must investigate. I don't like marzipan or cakes with almond flavour. If I make a bakewell tart, it's without ground almonds.I will eat a bar of chocolate with almond nuts in, maybe the chocolate masks the taste of the almonds.
When I was little my granddad used to eat tripe, YUK,we still have a tripe stall in our local market, looks revolting.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

My granddad used to love tripe and onions with a spicy white sauce and I must admit I liked it when I was a younger but that was until I saw it raw. OMG I nearly threw up! We used to have cockles when I was a child as well but I don't think I could face one now, used to pull the horrible snotty looking thing out of the shell with a pin. I have tried jellied eels but I find them pretty disgusting.

No clearly I do not have any food fads........
