I did try that, and mostly didn't lose much weight on it. I found it harder as OH can eat anything and stay slim and he wants bigger meals and snacks etc., and from time to time I found myself slipping and joining him. I can control it mostly but feel a bit resentful when he eats so much and I can't.

It's very difficult to keep to the Fast diet 5.2 if you are feeding a family or someone else! Your willpower has to be very strong and you must not mind cooking two separate meals!

This is so true Elisi. I would say it was impossible. I only went on it because DH really needed to lose quite a bit of weight and I could not sit down to more food than he was having on the fast days. As a happy consequence I lost quite a bit of weight too but it was more a case of keeping him company really. On the fast days we would have perhaps homemade soup and bread in the evening and we got used to eating less after a while but we had to both be eating the same thing more or less otherwise he would have weakened and I would have felt guilty.
