WeeGranny - you can have your cataracts done and and still ignore the dust. I certainly didn't start rushing round the house with a paintbrush, and you gradually get used to your new reality. I think a good indicator that it's 'time' is when you're driving at night and headlights keep dazzling you - that's what I found anyway. The eye surgeon said it's when you find yourself cleaning your glasses all the time - which I did as well.

Daisy I can easily ignore the dust, cataracts or not. The optician/optomotrist, or whatever they're called these days, said I didn't need anything doing when I saw her last week. Didn't even need new glasses! Saved me a couple of hundred pounds!

WeeGranny - wow, getting out of the opticians Scott-free is amazing. It's great you don't have to rush into any treatment.

I am almost due for an opticians appt. and she has already told me I have the beginning of a cataract, I hope it hasn't got any worse, headlights are a slight problem.

My second cataract op was never quite right and headlights still dazzle me in a 'star' shape in that eye

Gem - that's a real nuisance for you - no wonder you don't like night driving.

Plant - I hope you get good news from the optician, you seem to have had a run of medical things just recently and you must be quite fed up. xx

I remember when my mum had her cataracts done. She was convinced that she had got so many more wrinkles since the op. lol
