    Eye Op.

Well I was very brave and had the left cataract replaced on Saturday and what a difference it has made I am not in need of my reading glasses now and can read clearly with just my distance specs absolutley brillient.
I was so unsure of the procedure and very nervous to say the least but as everyone here assured me it was nothing to worry about,I am going back in 4 weeks time for the right eye to be done so my vision will be back to normal.xx

Do you think you will feel as nervous when you go for the other doing?

Glam - well done. It sounds as though you've been very brave, and I'm so pleased you're already seeing (literally) the difference. Do you find you keep looking at things, just because they look so bright and clear?

I'm glad you haven't got to wait too long for the second op, and I'm sure that will go as well. xx

Glam, I can remember being amazed at how white white things looked.

            Enjoy your new world.

Glad all went well. I was told I have early stage cataracts so it’s reassuring to hear how straightforward it is.

Glammanana glad your cataract procedure went well. OH has early stage cataract on his one eye and he worries constantly about it but to be honest he doesn’t deal with health issues all that well. He is a typical man who makes a lot of fuss with a head cold let alone anything else

Glad all went well Gem. It is heartening to read for the rest of us with the beginnings of cataracts.

Excellent news Glam. My sister couldn’t believe the difference. The only downside was she could see the dust.

They generally keep an eye on them for some time until they are ready for surgery.

No day at the beach as it were, but certainly nothing to dread, and over and done with very quickly.

OH had both eyes done not so long ago and is glad he did! I have cataracts in both eyes, but they don't need 'doing' yet!
Maybe I'll put it off as long as I can, because I wouldn't have any excuse for not noticing the dust accumulation!

Believe you can and you're halfway there.
