    Morning routine

What is your morning routine I mean when you aren’t going anywhere , I was saying to OH that I get fed up of cleaning my teeth every morning 😬 some of you have had your routine longer than me but I am so bored of getting up taking tablets at the bedside sitting and waiting to come round lol putting kettle, on coffee machine ,checking e mails ,whilst waiting for things to boil, cleaning said teeth, showering, moisturising, combing hair, this can take me 2 hrs sometimes lol. I would love to change it but it’s still the same old things we have to do I’ve been doing this for 46 yrs but don’t get me wrong I’m glad I’m alive to do these things just gets so boring routine that is, anyone the same 😀

Qwerty I actually miss the morning mayhem that I used have when I had little ones to get to school, grab a few things in the supermarket and then go to work .
Now it’s the same thing each morning. Get up , shower feed cat, have breakfast wash up and repeat the next day . The most exciting thing each morning is deciding it we are having toast or cere. But as you say , really just happy to be alive and fairly healthy

Yes, I agree! I was thinking this morning as I dried and then moisturised, what I really need is an air drying compartment next to the shower, then a moisture cream spraying compartment next to that. All self cleaning of course. My routine is similar to both yours and Mimis Qwerty. Sometimes I ring the changes and don’t bother with makeup 😬 as I’ll only have to take it off at night.

I get up first on alternate days (OH does it on the other days) Feed cats, open curtains, check around for cat sick. make tea for two and take it up to bed (with biscuit tin on Saturdays and Sundays ) If wake early I read until it is time to do all this.
Once back in bed, I check my phone for messages and laptop for FB , emails and GRUS.
Sometimes we stay there a long time. If it is CG day, or early golf, or something else going on we will get up when we have drunk the tea. I shower, washing my hair every 3rd day. Dress, have breakfast , take my morning BP tablet.
After that it varies from day to day. I have no set routines apart from be ready for GC on their days.

I have to say my morning routine is quite different! I always have my shower before I clean my teeth!!!

And yes, I hate the routine! But unless I want to go round looking unwashed, with lank greasy hair and dragon breath, what are the alternatives. And yes, I am grateful that I'm still here and able to do all those things for myself.

I have a friend who can shower, including washing her shoulder length hair, get dried and full body moisturise and dressed in EIGHT minutes! Admittedly she lets her hair dry naturally and she doesn't wear make-up, but that's still good going!

Morning routine......what morning routine? Mine can change from day to day depending on when I get up, there's no pattern to what I do when!

Make up good lord last thing on my mind , I only wash my hair once a week it very dry but that too becomes a bore, wash it condition it, roughly dry with hair dryer then use my rotating brush yo style it and finish drying it, after using Argan oil, heat preventive and mousse , after that ting it smooth and more Argsn oil and a spray of shine stuff , no wonder it’s once a week 😱

If i get up before hubby,i have a cup of coffee, then take BP tablet.
When we get up together,we have breakfast straight away.
Hubby goes back to bed to read the paper.
Then,if we aren't gardening,we get showered, otherwise get showered after gardening.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Wee Granny - that was what I thought at first - what routine! But when I thought about it at some point I will have a shower, wash my hair and get dressed - tomorrow that will be early because I have to go to look after our GDs, but today it was nearly 11 am before I got round to showering etc.

It's one of the blessings of being retired that most days we don't have to set the alarm and can get up just when we feel like it!

I get up, varies day to day, get breakfast, turn on computer, read emails etc. make a second cup of tea and sort tablets then whilst it is cooling I shower then drink tea and take tablets. Turn on hot brush and whilst it is heating I get dressed, do hair then clean teeth. If I am going out I put some make up on . I then stack the dishwasher and put re-cycling out. I wash my hair about twice a week.Boring am I not?

Did you wash it every day when it was long Oma? When mine was waist length I washed it every 5 days, but since I have had it shoulder length its every 3. If I did mine every day it would be like a bunch of straw

Yes Gem every day even when long , it just feels awful if I don't , only time I haven't washed it every day is if I have been too poorly to do it and that's very rare , I only use moisturiser on it about once a week as it goes limp and greasy if I use it more often , I'm lucky I can leave it to dry natural as well and it will go into the shape I want it , although I only let it dry like that the days I know I'm staying in 😀
