      I don't remember noticing this news item at the time, but honestly those two members of staff weren't quite up to the job, were they.

                              George Stephenson's Manchester and Liverpool railway opened.
                              During the ceremony, William Huskisson, MP, became the first person to be killed by a train when he crossed the track to shake hands with the Duke of Wellington.
