And I've recently seen a very large Co-op carrier bag - I think it was on Corrie!

        1983

The world's first all-girl sextuplets were born, to Mrs. Janet Walton at Liverpool Maternity Hospital. They were named Hannah, Lucy, Ruth, Sarah, Kate and Jenny.

And they all survived, were healthy and grew up to be lovely young women

Gem - I think I recall someone saying they knew the Walton family - Glamm, possibly. I followed all their tv programmes and it was fascinating to see them grow up into lovely young women, all very different.

I have feeling it was a person no longer amongst us Daisy

I have followed the programmes too. A lovely family.

A Birmingham nightclub was ordered to open its doors to black and Chinese people.

I can't believe these things were going on as recently as 1978

Gem - it's shocking isn't it. I can remember briefly working for an employment agency in 1970/71 and we had to use codes for different ethnic groups. I didn't stay there long!
