That was the age of very elegant cruise liners. I bet some people had huge amounts of luggage, with all the formal dining, etc.

Yes, I remember when you had proper cutlery and plates etc when flying, and even proper food! People would dress smartly to fly on holiday. I had a friend who always wore a glamorous hat and often got given an upgrade if one was available.

Dr. No, the first James Bond film, was released.

I don't remember that Daisy but I do remember Goldfinger. We were staying with my auntie uncle and two cousins in Nottingham. My mum and her SIL went to see it and I remember them both being very impressed by Sean Connery!
