Thanks for the birthday wishes for little E everyone.

Daisy I hope the man fixed the fridge. I agree you won't want another trip until it's fixed!

Nan2, as Daisy says there is always housework!

We have been to the coast!
We wanted to do something nice, and it's rare for us to both be free on a Thursday.

OH went for her last chiropractic appointment this morning and I went to feed the cat.
We had a pub lunch on the way, took our camping chairs and had a couple of hours on the beach in glorious sunshine.
We really weren't ready to leave, but our cat has a very sore eye and the only appointment we could get was 5pm. Still, it was lovely to be out.
Nothing to see in the eye so he's maybe had something in and got it out. He's had antibiotics and anti inflammatories. It was so sore looking, hopefully it will improve now.
I also bought a dose each of the 3 month flea treatment which was due. This was a very expensive visit!
Back to the cat and guinea pig for me, then to M&S food hall, not far from DD',s house. Too tired to cook so I bought us a fish pie which is in the oven!

Gem, what a nice day out. I bet the sunshine was lovely on the beach. Was there a bit of a sea breeze as well? Lots of pets seem to be suffering with things like sore eyes and ears, itchy patches etc. Poor M. I hope his eye will be fine with the antibiotics and anti inflammatories. DS2's dog, Cooper had a similar expensive trip to the vets for a gungy eye, an ear infection and some sore red patches on his tummy. The vet said it's very common at the moment and blames the heat and dryness. I always worry about Eva getting those horrible spiky grass seeds in her paws or legs. How was the fish pie?

There was a sea breeze Daisy, yes.
Fish pie was nice. We had it with broccoli and peas.
DD and GS are on their way back, staying somewhere tonight, so tomorrow morning will be my last pet care visit

Good morning. We had a beautiful sunrise this morning.

Gem, lovely to have a trip to the coast, it makes a nice change. Hope the cat is better soon.

Hubby out for his Friday meet up later.
No plans for me, I'll take the day as it comes.
Got a load of washing out, dishwasher is on now.

            Good morning,

            Nanto
            A nice drying day isn't it ,
I did my washing last night just ready to put out this morning,
A did a towel wash as well but they go. In the tumble.
Hope you get a restful day.

            Gem
Hope Ms eye is looking better today,
Buzz suffers terribley with allergies at the best of times but in the summer he looks positively skanky ,
He has bald patches all over and gunky eyes ,
Costs DD a fortune but as long as he is comfortable she isn't bothered ,
If you looked at him then looked at Tallulah you would think he was neglected, when in fact he is the one that costs the most .

            Daisy
Those and tics are always a worry ,
Hope Eva never gets them ,

Need to go to MILs this morning, she needs some shopping but I don't know why I bother as everything I get she twists about,
I went yesterday and got her these butter biscuits she likes but hasn't had for a while,
I know she will turn her nose up.
Before we go we will go along to Seaham there is a new cake shop I will get her and Pamela the carer a cream cake ,
If MIL doesn't eat it Pamela can have two.

              Good morning everyone.

Nan2, lovely to see a beautiful sunset if you are up early enough.

Oma, MIL doesn't know how lucky she is having nice things brought for her.

I am going to do the pet feeding soon. Then aqua class at 11. I was going to cancel as GS2 is coming for the day. However DD2 is going to bring him to meet me after the class, then he and I will go out to lunch then back here, so it all works out.
              Moses eye does look improved.

A rather late "good Friday morning, everyone".

Nanto, it's lovely to watch swans gliding about, isn't it. They always look so serene - unless they've got cygnets, of course. I hope your day is going well.

Gem, I bet that sea breeze was welcome yesterday. Don't granny duties get complicated sometimes. I'm glad you were able to go to your aqua class. Enjoy your lunch out with GS2. The treatment seems to be working quickly on M's eyes. I'm sure he must be feeling better already.

Oma, Eva does get tics. They are rife round here in the forest, but we just keep checking her and remove them when we find them. We don't give her any treatments because they always seem to make her ill.

I hope MIL appreciates the cakes, but at least Pamela will. Butter biscuits sound nice too.

It's been a busy morning here with lots of activity in our little cul de sac. It's the day for two lots of bin collections, neighbours had an Ocado delivery, our Sainsbury delivery is due soon, there are workmen drilling and digging holes a couple of doors away from us, the auto electrician came to mend something on OH's kit car, and the phone kept ringing. I took Eva out about 6.30 but I've only just had time to have a shower and get changed!

Daisy, it's all Go in your cul de sac

I really enjoyed my aqua class. The regular Friday instructor is my least favourite, so I don't mind so much when I have to miss - which I often do have to. Today's class was taken by an instructor, standing in for the regular one , who I really like, so that was a bonus .

GS2 and I had lunch, then to the Pre loved toy shop was closes tomorrow to move premises I got a couple of bargains and some Pokémon cards for GS2.
Then we went to the card shop for little E's balloon for his party tomorrow.
Then to the vets for Moses antibiotic eye cream. Which wasn't there They didn't have it in yesterday but promised it would be in today. I wanted him to start the treatment asap. If his eye continues to improve without the cream they can keep it and will get my £27.50 reimbursed!!

OH still at golf ( hopefully relaxing in the clubhouse now) I went up for my post pool shower and now GS2 and I are just having a relaxing afternoon.
My knee is painful, probably due to the hill down to the beach and back again yesterday. I am icing it now!

Daisy, a hive of activity in your neck of the woods this morning.

Gem, glad you enjoyed your aqua.
it would be helpful moneywise if Mose's eye clears uo on its own.

It was a good day for drying the washing.
I did a load of lights, then changed the towels when i cleaned the bathroom and got those washed and dried.

Gem, is the preloved toy shop moving far away? You will miss it (so will your GSs) if it's too far away. How annoying that Moses' eye cream wasn't at the vets. I wonder if they are having the same problems getting meds etc as our pharmacies? I think walking downhill is harder on the joints than going up. I hope your knee's ok after a night's rest. Do you use anything like Voltarol on it at night when it hurts? Although ice is probably the best thing you can't ice it all night.

Nanto, I knew I should have done some washing today! Still, hopefully tomorrow will be just as good, although it looked as though those in the north might be getting some rain over the week-end.

It was quite warm and heavy this afternoon so I relaxed and read my book for a while. I gave OH a much-needed haircut (not a big job!) and prepared dinner. Such excitement.

Nan2, how are baby and mummy doing?

Daisy the shop is moving to an industrial estate half an hour's drive away. We will go again, but not regularly. We will miss it!
I have rubbed ibuprofen gel onto my knee and taken paracetamol as well as the ice. I used my stick to go up and down the hill. That helped my back, but not my knees it seems!
I'm glad you got some reading time.

Good morning everyone, Gem, is it your new knee that is playing up?? I hope you got your cream for the cat, what a price! I seem to live in the stone age regarding prices. It won't be the same going to the shop if you have to drive 30 minutes to get there.

I had a splitting headache and a fever yesterday, in fact I have felt it coming on a few days, I do feel better this morning, luckily, I didn't even have paracetamol in house so had to go and get some.

GD2 travels to Yorkshire this morning, the family she is staying with have so much organised for her, I do hope that she enjoys it, the niece and nephew are both 18 this year and are having a double party in the village hall this evening, that will be different for her!!

I have just read about the wild fires in France, shocking!!!

Good morning. Its a little bit darker in the early mornings now.

Gem, granddaughter and baby are both doing well thanks. GD is healing well from the c-section.

According to the weather forecast on TV some parts of the country will get rain at some point today.

We are going into town later. Possibly meeting up with DS2 for a cuppa if he is available.

Nan2, rain was forecast here for today but now it's moved to tomorrow. Suits us as it's little E's party in the garden today!

No Lizzie, new knee stands up to hills etc fine, it's the other one Still very painful this morning. Glad you are feeing better today.

We are going over to amuse little E this morning, while GS and DD1 and DD's dad help SIL3 get ready for the party. DD3 had to have her PICC line replaced yesterday so is supposed to rest.
Teddy bears picnic party from 12. I have my teddy (bought when I was born by my godmother) and OH can take one of the ones we have here for the GC.

I have trouble coming down stairs more than going up.

Shame the pre loved toy shop is moving I imagine there will be lots of people who can't get to it.
I hope little E has a wonderful party and DD is feeling more comfortable today.
