    Good Friday morning, everyone.

We came back home yesterday, although we were booked to stay until Saturday. It was just too hot, especially as my DIL1 said, in what is essentially a "tin can".

I'll post about the holiday and a selection of the things that went wrong later on. I must get some phone calls made first.

Oh dear Daisy, sorry to hear some things went wrong. I don't blame you coming home early in this heat. I lived in a caravan during the hot summer of 76 ( with a baby!!) It was indeed like a tin can and we had to stay out of it during daylight hours .

Plant the pool was indeed so welcome.
By the time I had driven to pick up GS1, then dropped a friend home I was as hot as ever

          Glad all was OK Oma.

          Lovely photo Lizzie

Myself and 2 boys have just emerged from the hot car. Cold drinks all round!
They like an easy tea of tortellini, ready made sauce and garlic bread, ice lollies for pudding.
Then OH's turn to cook our tea. If it was my turn I think I would order takeaway!
Roll on the cooler temperatures due tomorrow.
