Soooo hot!!

The cafe we met our friend in was beautifully air conditioned. The outside tables had no shade so we opted for inside.
From there we went to DD3s and spent a couple of hours or so in the garden with them.
Too hot to cook so we went down to the local fish and chip shop. We decided to eat in the little cafe there rather than takeaway. They don't have aircon so we got very hot!!

Glad to be home with the fan on now.

We out with the family for lunch , going to a posh place for my birthday,
We have been before and really like it,
Sadly Dorothy and James can't make it with Dorothy's legs the way they are and this heat is killing her.

You have caught up with my decade now I hope you have a lovely lunch.
DD3 had a terrible headache the other day from not drinking enough water in this heat, but apart from that she is ok with it if she stays in the shade and keeps cool.

A bit cooler here too Nan2 with a nice breeze.

No plans today, at the moment.

Very cloudy atm and so much cooler. DD and I have decided for me to sleep in my own room which requires one step up from my sitting room, onto a little landing I am taking it steady. Sil is ordering me a walker with a tray to give me a bit more freedom until my leg is fully healed. Appt with nurse on Tuesday.

It is nice to sit out in the evening when it is cooler.

A rather late Good Sunday morning, everyone.

Nanto, we had dark clouds earlier, but the sun's come out and there's a good breeze. Washing is drying very quickly!

Oma, it's a lovely day here for your birthday! Lunch sounds lovely, but it's a pity D and J won't be able to join you.

Plant, you're making progress, and I know the family will nag you to be careful. The walker with a tray will be really useful, but hopefully you'll soon be walking more confidently as your leg heals. It makes sense to be cautious though.

Gem, when the weather is that hot looking for shade or air con becomes a major concern. At least you were eventually able to relax at home. I hope you're enjoying a restful day today.

OH is due back from his car week-end sometime today. I think the roads will be very busy, so I'll expect him when I see him. I took Eva out about 6.30 again this morning. It was much cooler and there was a good breeze out in an open area of the Forest. The silly dog has made herself hot sunbathing on the lawn, so I've put her cool coat on her again. It's been a godsend this week.

I've been doing some general tidying up round the house - much needed. But it's time for some lunch now.

Hallo everyone, Plant, is there a way to make a ramp so that you can use the walker to get up to your bedroom?

I have just been to take something to GD1, she leaves for Zakynthos on Tuesday evening, well Wednesday morning actually. GS1 and the rest are in Oxford today, enjoying walking round by the look of the photo's.

It is the first time I have been out all the week, except for my early shopping trips! GD was telling me that there was one ### of a storm last night with hailstones as big as golf balls!! I had seen photo's etc and read of all the damage, I thought it had missed up, apparently not, that is how I sleep!!!!! I did hear thunder but missed the rest.

It is cooler today, luckily, 25 degrees now.

We got visitors about 5ish. Sis in law and her hubby.
it was nice to have a catch up.

Evening ladies ,
It's been a very busy day but a lovely one,
My friend popped in with a gift this morning on the way to her sisters, we then went to a lovely restaurant called Embers ,
It's in the same courtyard as Si King from the hairy bikers pie shop,
He is often there , a lovely man,

It was very busy as lots of entertainment going on ,
A clown was there with those big bubble machines, the kids were loving it ,
There is a couple of pubs and other eateries all within the courtyard.

We had a first class meal and dessert, we were all stuffed,
I don't normally have dessert but as it was my Birthday I threw caution to the wind 😁

We then went back to DDs for coffee and to cut my cake and spent a few hours there,
I cut the cake but we were all too full to eat any so we brought some home and left the rest for them to enjoy,

I have been very spoilt with really lovely cards gifts and flowers ,
I must admit both B and myself are tired now .

I think I might have a early night 😁

Well it was much cooler today Pleasantly so. It was possible to do some pottering in the garden and actually cook a meal for the first time in days!
