How are you and S feeling now?
Enfys
Hello lovely to hear from you , life can take over sometimes and you forget how long it has been ,
Hope to hear from you more ,
Your garden sounds idyllic, we got rid of our big shed ,
It's surprising how much more room you get isn't it.
My Astro turf was delivered this morning so SIL is laying that this afternoon,
We had one of his friends who does resin drives come out this afternoon,
We decided to go with it and have anti slip put on it as well,
He will let us know when he can do it , hopefully not long to wait ,
Him and SIL went to school together and have stayed in touch, SIL has laid lots of carpets for him,
He also knows our friend who is fitting our oak doors ( my hairdresser husband) he has done work for him as well ,
So it's a little circle of workers who know each others work.

Good morning everyone, Oma, I have no idea what resin is, I will do my G search!
Gem, welcome back home! Did the flight go well?
If all goes to plan GD1 is taking me out to lunch, or doing it here, not sure what yet. I don't mind either way, I just like the time spent with them!!
Before my flying visit to the hospital on Tuesday I wanted to print something, the paper got twisted and blocked! I got the paper out but the printer wouldn't work!!! I don't use it much, but, would miss it, this one must be 10 or 12 years old. When I got home I tried it all ways, it wouldn't work, I looked on our Ebay and one locally, the same model for €10 so I went yesterday and got it, when I got it here and compared them both I saw what the problem was with mine, so, I now have 2 good working printers!!! It took me a couple of hours yesterday afternoon to get it working on my Wifi etc, then I had to make space for it, I have been meaning to get rid of the equaliser that doesn't work anymore, what stopped me doing it was removing all the wires etc!!! Would I remove anything I still needed??? It took me a while, so heavy as well, but, it is sorted, no problems with the TV etc so all works!!! I am just wondering who needs 2 printers!!! Never mind, good for the brain!!! I sorted the DVD player and then watched one of the DVDs I made when the GD's were young, where does the time go!!!

Good morning ladies. Sun is shining and it's as still as a mill pond
Just seen the weather forecast and another heatwave is on the way.
Lizzie, glad you got the printer sorted, and now you've got a spare one.
En̈joy your time with GD.
Yesterday was our bin day, but neither of them was emptied, hopefully they will come today.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Morning Nanto, ladies.
Nanto
Love the graphic 😁
It's nice and still here too so looks like a good day today ,
Maybe the bin men had wagon trouble,
Last year one broke down at the bottom of our street ,
We could get into our cul-de-sac but the other streets were blocked for hours ,
It's not like they can push them to the side of the road is it 😁
Lizzie
Well I suppose two is better than none , well done sorting the wires out,
I bet it was lovely seeing the videos of the girls when they were young ,
We have discs of our boys I must rake them out and watch them.
Gem
Did you sleep well?
I hope your both ok now xxx
I'm having 5minutes then going shopping , I need to iron MILs nighties to take back tomorrow and B has a few jobs he wants together on with today,
Did I tell you about SIL2 finding a old man wandering the streets lost ?
He has Alzheimer's and had wandered off, SIL found him and took him in ,
Phoned the police and they took 2 hours to turn up ,
All he had on him was a old bus pass with his name on .
She made him a cup of tea and he said could he have egg and chips😁
So she made him them,
She said he thoroughly enjoyed them
When the police did turn up they discovered he had family in my SILs street,
They took him there and SIL said they were shocked he had managed to leave home ,
They rang his DD who had been frantically looking for him ,
Police had been informed so wouldn't you have thought when SIL rang them they would have responded quicker .Im not fat just 6ft too small

Good morning everyone.
Enfys, lovely to see you, keep posting!
I hope our dear Plant is doing ok.
Thank goodness your DD found that man and looked after him so well Oma.
Lovely graphic Nan2.
Lizzie, you could probably make money with 2 printers.
I feel we could go into business with our one, if we charged the printerless friends who use ours!
We have the first holiday wash out on the line. An advantage of fine weather on coming home

Good Thursday morning, everyone.
Nanto, what a gorgeous summery greeting for today. Let's hope your bins get emptied today.
Lizzie, well done on sorting out all those connections. It can be quite a minefield. I wish we never needed printers! When I was teaching IT they were the source of most problems. OH loves his printer and is almost distraught when it goes on strike. It's been playing up for a couple of weeks - on/off/on/off. It works ok for me (at the moment) but there seems to be some problem from OH's laptop. I hope you have a lovely time with your GD, wherever you eat.
Oma, how kind your SIL2 was to the man who was lost. His DD must have been frantic, and yes, you would have thought the police would have checked if it was the person who had been reported as lost. Is the astroturf the same as you had before?
Gem, it sounds as though you are straight back into your usual routine, but a nice start with it being Little E's day and sleepover. The washing is the worst part of coming back from holiday, so thank goodness it's dry today.
There's no sign of a heatwave here. It rained this morning and feels quite chilly. I've actually got a warm jumper on.
I had this morning planned like a military operation - dentist for 9 am back here, wash my hair ready for the hairdresser at 10.30. Then I decided to wash it in the shower first thing. It didn't matter if it was still damp when I went out. I was just leaving the house when I got a text message from the hairdresser saying her little girl was off school sick and could she move the appointment to next Tuesday. It's ok, but I could have had a more leisurely start to the day. We have to take Eva over to DS2's this afternoon, ready for our early trip to the hospital tomorrow, and OH is going to the wood turning club this evening. Our neighbours are back from holiday and J called round this morning for a chat. His wife had gone to collect their dog from their daughter's. It's nice to have them back.

Nanto, it's quite satisfying when you can get something washed, dried and put away all in one go.
The weather did get a bit better here and was quite warm this afternoon. When we took Eva over to DS2's GD1 was at home (she's finished her exams) and GD2 arrived home while we were there. It was great to see them both. GD2 was bubbling over after joining the school tennis club this afternoon. GD1 is busy designing her prom outfit. She's not a girly girl so a traditional prom dress holds no attraction for her. She's started with a waistcoat. She wanted a quirky lining for it and got some light fabric. She designed it with all sorts of her school revision notes from all her subjects which she scanned onto paper and the Textiles teacher helped her to use the hot press to transfer her design onto the fabric. The rest of the outfit is still at the design stage, and I can imagine she'll be scouring the charity shops. Apparently all her group of friends are doing quirky outfits, so it should be interesting to see them.
We've got an early start for the hospital tomorrow, so I'll check in later."Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "
