Oma, pleased the boiler man turned up at the third attempt.
Sometimes it's like talking to deaf ears when trying to voice your concerns.
Like you say she'll probably end up back in hospital at some point.
Going into town this morning. Hubby meeting his pal, i get to browse around on my own, I just need a few bits.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.
Not as nice here Nanto it's wet and dull,
Hope you find something nice on your browse around town.
Gem
Hope you slept well and wake to lovely warm sun 😎 🌞 make the most of it , give a hug to S from us as well as you 😁♥️
We going to look at wallpaper this morning and curtains ,
I have decided I'm sick of what we have on and want a change,
We only have one wall in the whole house papered and it's the main wall in the sitting room.
I don't know what colour yet but I will know it when I see it then I can decide on curtains and cushions,
I do know I want to paint the other three walls a soft cream or a off white.
Then SIL can put my new carpet down , I have already chosen that.
I have suggested we get meals on wheels for MIL or there is a nice one called Aunty Mauds ,they have a good choice of local home made meals ,£5.99 for a main meal a dessert and a sandwich for tea,
She doesn't have to have them everyday she can pick and choose.
SIL2 is going in today she will test the waters but we just know she will turn her nose up at it.
This way she would have a hot meal delivered to her door and won't have to use the cooker.
But she would rather make life difficult for us.
Lizzie, I never seem to see quark in our supermarkets these days, so no wonder you wanted to make sure you got 3! Ship the other 330 over here, I'm sure they'd sell!
Nanto, what a lovely greeting to start the day. I hope it stayed dry for y our trip into town.
Gem, so pleased to hear you've arrived safely. Travelling is tiring at the best of times, so I hope you both slept well and are in full relaxation mode today.
Oma, it would be less of a worry about MIL being at home if she was more amenable and willing to help herself. There's only much you and B can do without making yourselves ill in the process. The assessment sounds very basic, and doesn't take her confused state of mind into account. Sending hugs. xx
It's sunshine and showers here. We've just put a load of bedding out to dry, and OH commented on the approaching black clouds. Tired and fed up with the weather I said to leave it out. It's now chucking it down! Hopefully when it stops the washing will dry in the wind.
I'm sorting out a load of clothes I intended to do yesterday but didn't feel like it. So far, it's about 50:50 to keep:the charity shop!

Oma, Would your stubborn MIL accept a live-in carer. I think she prefers that you are all (including the hospital) dancing attendance on her. I do hope that there is a solution that is not putting too much on you both.
What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare
Plant ,
No she wouldn't even consider it , it was one of the suggestions but she blew that out of the water instantly,
She has a spare room so it's possible , but not something she will tolerate.
SIL2 got the cleaner in today to do a deep clean and the council emergency team out as MILs heating wasn't working,
Everything is ready for her going home except us , we are not ready as none of us want her to go home .
Sadly we have no control.
We went out this morning and it was a preductive morning ,
I managed to choose paper , curtains and a new lamp and paint for the other three walls,
Got home and curtains were the wrong size so they going back tomorrow for the right size.
Sent for new cushions on line , if I don't like them they can go back.
Then we realised the mirror on our front wall won't go so now we need a new mirror,
Why is it there is always something extra you need to change .
The meals on wheels sounds a good idea for your MIL Oma.
We have had a very relaxing first day. Sun(and shade) bathing with our Kindles, a sea swim for me, very short walk for lunch at the little bar next to the shop where we buy bottled water for the fridge in our room. Unpacking as we were too tired last night.
We are by the pool again, watching the sea before going in to get ready for dinner.
OH has left her hearing aid recharger at home, which is a pain. I will have to shout!
