A very late hello from me. I've read all your posts, but have left it a bit late to reply properly.

We had a lovely day with the family. Our niece's OH had made a delicious Hunter's Chicken for lunch, and niece had made key lime pie (which I love but can't eat because of the cream) and a tasty fruit salad. It was great to have time to sit and catch up with all everyone's news. Eva had a fun afternoon next door and came home too tired to even demand her dinner until she'd had a sleep. Once I sat down when we got home I went really tired, but we've enjoyed seeing family.

Good morning on the last day of the month.

      The rain has finally stopped.

Daisy, glad you had a lovely catch up with family.

DS2 and DIL are flying to Rome today. They will be back Thursday.

        Good morning ladies.

Nan2, those dogs are so cute
I went to Rome in January once and it was so mild we ate most meals outside cafes, with patio heaters.

Daisy that meal sounds delicious. I hope you can have a restful day today.

I'm glad you heard so quickly from the Dr Lizzie and nothing to worry about.

Lots of Christmas lights up around here Oma. I hope we get ours up soon.

I hope you see the baby today Plant. They grow so fast don't they?

The Christmas Fair was busy, but not as busy as it would have been were it not pouring with rain. I left just after 1.30. There was still chocolate left but it probably went in the remaining two hours. It was a nice atmosphere.
The drive to Selby was horrendous, so much spray I could hardly see on the by-pass. The 45 minute drive took longer and I pulled up outside the mobile unit in the car park at the exact time of OHs appointment!! She didn't suffer as she did last time She told them about it and they were extra careful inserting the dye I think.
Awful traffic coming home, meaning we had 15 minutes, to change, feed the cats and lock them in with litter tray for the night! Luckily I has already sorted my clothes out earlier. Our friend G was driving us there.
More appalling slow traffic on our way out to the meal, but we got there and had very good evening. This time I did work out the murderer! In fact I think I was the first one on our table to suspect her.

After all yesterday rushing about a nice quiet day . Nothing for me but a late afternoon aqua class.

          Morning Nanto, ladies.

Nanto it's a dry morning for a change here and clear sky's.

Isn't it a bit of a con these Christmas markets now, as you say all food stalls ,
Ok if that's what your looking for,
A far cry to likes of Berlin , Hamburg , etc there it's more traditional stuff plenty to see and buy.

I'm glad you found a nice cafe it's somewhere to go again.

          Daisy
I'm sure you had a wonderful day but once you relax it hits you doesn't it,
I love hunters chicken , fruit salad would be my choice too😁
          I. Hope you have slept well xx

          Gem
How did the night go, Was S ok after the scan ?

Need to go for cakes to take into MIL today ,
Plus take a shoulder heat pad back we bought on Friday , I could blow hotter it's rubbish.

B started putting the outside lights up yesterday and the ones that go around the porch are not working so we need to go get some of them as well.

Would you believe it's 10 years today since B had his transplant 😁

          Have a good Sunday ladies

Gem our posts passed again 😁

A rather late 'good Sunday morning' from me.

Nanto, I hope DS and DIL2 have a lovely time in Rome. Have they been there before?

Gem, I hope the Christmas Fair did well, despite not being quite so busy. It does put some people off when the weather's bad. What awful journeys you had, and I bet you were glad you weren't the driver in the evening. Well done, sup-sleuth on working out who did it. I hope S is ok today, and hasn't had the after effects she had last time. Enjoy your relaxing day and aqua class.

Oma, yes, thank you I did sleep well, but still feel tired today. It seems I need a day to recover after a busy day. It's good that MIL is asking for cakes even if they're not the most nutritious things she could be eating. But I can understand - a plate of steamed spinach doesn't have the same appeal. It's hard to believe it's 9 years since B had his second birthday with the transplant. He really is a great success story for the treatment he had.

It's a beautiful sunny day here, although we had an overnight frost. Our neighbour has offered to cut our lawn for us - his mower is more powerful and can cope with long wet grass. He and OH have just taken the top off a self-sown tree on our boundary which is becoming a problem. We don't even know what it is, but it's put on a lot of growth this year and the roots could be travelling into several other gardens.

I'm having a lazy day. I've got a blood test tomorrow morning, and OH's hearing aids have broken again, so we'll go to Specsavers as well and try and get them sorted out. I wish he'd get some decent ones.

Gem, when we went to Rome,it was October and it was really hot.

Daisy, yes they have been to Rome before.

                    Oma, 9 years,doesn't time fly.
                    Hows MIL.

Beautiful sunny day here, still cold though.

I got the Christmas presents wrapped up this morning.

                      Hallo everyone,

Nanto, my niece and DH have just arrived home from Rome, she said it was the best time of the year to visit!

I went to the gym this morning, the lovely young man said he was going to call me if I wasn't there today to see if I was ill. I told. him I had been ill, I am still not 100% but getting there.

DS2 and DIL called in on their way to a birthday party in the next village. They have invited me for a meal on Boxing Day, apparently DS1 and family are going as well so I shall see what I decide to do.

I have just been next door, the neighbour fell off her scooter on Friday afternoon, full of bruises, workmen were doing the trees and saw her fall, they rushed to her and asked if they had to phone an ambulance, she told them to let her just lay there a while!! Her DH was with her, he panics!! The men kept her warm then brought her home in their van, the scooter followed on the lorry! She said " there are good people"!

She was telling me their youngest GGS has Broad Thumbs-Hallux Syndroom, I have never heard of it so I have just been looking, it made me sad!!!

Daisy, how kind of your neighbour to cut the grass.

Gem, I don't like driving when it is wet like that, I can't see the markings on the road when it is wet.

Oma, with an operation like B had you are allowed to celebrate every year, every day actually.XX

Lizzie, I had to look up Broad Thumbs-Hallux Syndrome as I'd never heard of it either. It sounds very rare, but that's no consolation when a much-loved child is diagnosed. I hope the little lad gets all the help available.

Our grass didn't get done after all - our neighbours had unexpected visitors, but I'm sure he will do it another day. He's very kind. The young man at your gym sounds very kind as well.

Nanto, well done on getting your presents wrapped up. I hope your GS and DIL enjoyed this trip to Rome.

Bit late to the pass, had a visit from GD2 and little one. GD’s OH went to lunch with the fathers in their group. Baby was very disturbed with wind and didn’t settle. My DD has just reminded me that I can start the Adventure Calendar they gave me, I had forgotten it.

Oma, Only feels more recently that B and his brother had that op. Amazing surgery.

Daisy, giving grass a last cut isdifficult with changeable weather, Sil would have liked giving ours another cut.

Lizzie, your friend was lucky to find kind people to help her after her accident.

Nanto, you are the most organised person I know.

Pleased to hear the treatment for Sue went better than the last one Gemini. Well done for guessing who the murderer was.

Been to see MIL , she's ok just depressed,
The ward she is on is horrible it's god's waiting room all geriatrics and it stinks,
We spoke to the sister , she said physically MIL is over anything she had, they are waiting for bloods from today and Dr coming too see her in the morning with a view to get her home this week.

I said to the sister that is ward wasn't helping any,
The other people in the ward all are bed bound and unresponsive or have dementia,
MIL has no one to talk too,
This is the same ward we had her transferred from to the rehab unit when she had her hip operation
As she was deteriorating in there .
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Oma, it sounds as though that ward needs improving. There's no excuse for it not being clean, and I would imagine it's the ward sister's job to make sure the cleaners do their job properly and any spills are accidents are dealt with promptly. If she can't come home in a day or two I'd definitely try and get your MIL moved.

Good morning, at the start of a new month. Its pouring down again.

Oma , that ward sounds bad.

Lizzie, how sad about your neighbours GGS. I had to Google that illness.
Glad she got some help from the workmen when she fell off her scooter.

DIL's birthday today. I'll text her later.
