    Good morning.

I didn't have time to get back on here yesterday.
Hopefully I'll be able to catch up later.

Going into town this morning. We are meeting up with DS2 and DIL.

      Morning Nanto,Ladies.

It's very cold but no snow thank goodness just wet.

We are taking MIL shopping this morning, I have warned her she needs a throw for her knees and her hat gloves and scarf.
She hated being wrapped up but I've told her we are not being held responsible for her getting a chill,
It's either that or we don't go,

Last night we were seated on a table next to a young Asian family with a little six year old girl and a 4 week old baby boy,
      What a lovely family ,
We chatted all through our meals,
The little girl had the most beautiful eyes and the baby, well what can I say I wanted him, he was gorgeous.
His mammy said he's not so beautiful when he is screaming at 3 am 😁

GS was besotted with him he couldn't stop watching him in his pram😁

        Good morning ladies.

Wet here, but not as cold as there is no frost on the roofs this morning.

        Some days are busy Nan2

Oma, at MIL's age and frailty and with those recent hospital stays, she definitely needs wrapping up warm to go outside. That or stay in as you say!

Lizzie, it sounds as though you may have worked out the cause of the problem.

Nothing wrong with beans on toast with an egg Daisy We ended up with fish and chips last night.

Today we are doing a Sunday roast lunch (yes I know its Saturday!) We can't do it tomorrow, and the friend who we have invited doesn't like driving at night, so it's lunch today.

Been into town.Had a nice catch up with DS2 and DIL.

We didn't need much, just went to the butchers and then looked on some card stalls
Managed to get the last of the special cards we needed.

Gem, your lunch sound very nice.

It hasn't been as cold today as the past couple of days, but still needed to get wrapped up.

            Good soggy afternoon, everyone.

Lizzie, I'm pleased to hear you slept well and I hope the steaming and salt rinsing helps you. Your friend on the lower floor is very lucky to have home visits from the doctor etc. It must make life a lot easier for her.

Nanto, a successful and pleasant morning, for you, and at least it wasn't as cold as yesterday.

Oma, I hope MIL realised you meant business and she wrapped up warmly, and behaved herself in the supermarket. What a lovely time you had at the restaurant. The poor Mummy, though. A crying baby at 3 am is not fun. I hope she catches up on her sleep at some time.

Gem, roast pork and apple crumble sound delicious. I'm sure your guest enjoyed it.

I woke up this morning full of energy and the joys of spring, ready to tackle all of the jobs on my mental To Do list. Then realised it was 4 am, so went back to sleep. Of course by the time I woke up again at 8 am the urge had gone. I have started to sort out and tidy the upright freezer in the kitchen and reorganised it. There were items lurking in there that OH had never heard of, let alone used. I'm just having a quick cuppa before braving the non-stop rain with Eva. She's not the sort of dog to refuse a walk just because of water falling out of the sky!

We were out two and a half hours with MIL,
We took her to Aldi first then to Morrisons,
She wrapped up well and for once she was no bother at all ,
              Very pleasant.
She bought all sorts lots of goodies for Christmas,
Brought her home made her a sandwich and a cup of tea , by this time she was shattered.

Got all the way home and B realised he had left his phone on her table,
So he had to go all the way back for it.

              Daisy
maybe you will have more energy tomorrow 😁

Oma, thank goodness MIL was reasonable for once.

I hope you didn't get too wet Daisy.

Not as cold here either Nan2, but still chilly especially after dark.

We all enjoyed the meal. I made the apple crumble and apple sauce, from our apples, and the mashed potatoes. OH made the rest.
Our friend was very appreciative and bought us a giant bar of Cadbury s dairy milk
She got safely home before dark.

We are in our pj's watching Strictly now.

Oma, perhaps your warning to MIL made her think. It must have been so much nicer helping her with her shopping when she was being pleasant.

Gem, it lightens the load a lot when you can share the cooking. I hope you are enjoying the chocolate.

When I took Eva out it was still raining, but nowhere near as heavily as earlier in the afternoon. It wasn't cold so although I put my waterproof fleece lined trousers on I only put on a fairly thin jacket. As you'd expect, we hadn't gone far when the heavens opened and the wind got up again. We got about half way round the block when I realised I hadn't got my phone, but I was sure I'd put it in my trouser pocket. By then it was dark. I thought if I'd dropped it it would probably be when Eva stopped for a pooh and I'd bent down to pick it up. It was on grass so I wouldn't have heard it drop, and I didn't notice the change in weight because I'd got my torch in the same side jacket pocket. Grrr .... Eva was a bit puzzled about going back to that spot, but there was no sign of my phone. Perhaps I had forgotten to put it in my pocket after all. We went home, and OH greeted me with the news I'd left the phone on my dressing table! Big sigh of relief. But by then Eva and I were soaking wet and a bit fed up. OH immediately went and got a towel - for Eva!!

I made a start on sorting out and reorganising the freezer, but my hands were too cold to finish it. I'll do it tomorrow.

Good morning. Its rained heavily for the past hour, easing off a bit now.

Oma, glad MIL was good for you yesterday.
                    Makes a nice change.

Daisy, glad your phone was at home and not lost outside.

Gem, what a carry on with Sky.

                    Ds1 and GD2 coming for dinner,so I'm doing a roast beef meal.
Cheesecake for pudding, although GD will probably have an ice cream.

A bit of ironing to do, but i think a cup of coffee first.

                      Morning Nanto, Ladies.

It's rained hard but stopped for now ,
                      What a grey horrible morning.

                      Nanto
I'm sure the roast will go down well
Your DS and GD are lucky to have you.

                      Daisy
It was a day for forgetting phones , you and B doing the same thing.
J got his priorities right make sure Eva was dry😁

                      Gem
Pleased your friend enjoyed her meal and apple crumble made with your own apples even better.
I hope you had a piece of chocolate last night xx
How is S is she ok?

I have done what I need to do downstairs, I want to hoover the bedrooms but B said he will do them after lunch as my shoulder won't take the weight of pushing the hoover,
Hopefully apart from about 5 things to iron it's going to be a lazy day for me πŸ˜‰

09d379ab-b2b4-421d-8e05-44125bc1b9fa.jpg Good morning, we had the snow early this morning, clearing now, a bitter cold wind though.

DS1 phoned last night, they were on their way to Ikea to get the last things they need for GD1's bedroom.

Gem, your friend would be pleased with a meal like that!

Daisy, it is an awful feeling when you think you have lost your phone! I am forever feeling in my pockets etc if it is there!

Oma, your MIL can be nice if she wants to be!

I am still full of cold or whatever it is I have, I am breathing better and even managed a walk to the village yesterday afternoon.

Nanto, your family will love your cooking.

My orchid is full of flowers! I was wondering it that what I was allergic to, did some searching and it is only if you break them etc etc, they don't give any pollen off whilst standing.

                          Good morning everyone.
It rained heavily during the night and was still pouring down when we got up. Right now the sun is shining and the rain has stopped. Not for long I suspect.

                          Nice dinner Nan2.

You deserve a lazy day Oma. S is fine thank you xx

Daisy, I hate it when I think I have lost my phone. A relief when you find it!

Lizzie, you must have green fingers! That orchid is beautiful and doesn't sound as though it is causing your allergies.

OH and friends have cancelled this morning's planned golf due to the weather.
I have the deep water aqua class this afternoon. I will tighten the belt very tightly as advised by Lizzie!
My job this morning is to make the Christmas cake and get that into the oven.

I am about to brave the rain to go to my class. I hope I do slightly better than last time!!

Well my lazy day didn't happen.
Had to take MIL back into hospital,
She wasn't well when she got up this morning,
We are not convinced she's using her oxygen enough.

SIl rang so we went over and after a fight with her about it , we phoned an ambulance, her oxygen levels were very low,
They advised with her heart failure and COPD was best she goes back in.

She wasn't happy as she only came out on Thursday .

I went down with her but they advised I left as they were very busy and I would be sitting hours in the waiting room till she was sorted.
