    Cheers, Gem. The Merlot is perfect.



    Chef says the sprouts have been cooked in olive oil with smoked bacon, coriander and a ginger and sesame oil sauce. He roasted them in the oven first and then finished the sprouts and the other ingredients off in the wok until the bacon was nice and crispy.

        I'm here from the dark December night for some warmth, good food and maybe company!

        Guy, could I have the chicken casserole tonight please? I will have cheddar mash with that. I will have water to drink and maybe a mulled wine later

          Hello, Gem. I'll come and join you. Does the chicken casserole come with plain mash as well? If so I'll have that, and I'll start with a mulled wine, please. Just the thing for a cold, dark and wet December night.

                I have had a meal out today, so I will just a mulled wine and a few crisps tonight.

                              Mariella and the Tea Rooms staff will be taking a well earned break on December 25th and 26th.

                              Never fear however, The Granny's Rest will be open all day and evening through the season.
                              As well as the usual drinks and delicious bar snacks, a traditional Christmas dinner will be served for anyone wanting that. Eat in or have it delivered to your door
