It certainly is cold - my poor old granny bones are feeling it!

I'll grab a corner of that squashy sofa and order a pot of English Breakfast tea and some nice hot buttered toast, totalling ignoring the recent advice that it's bad for you!

Plant - my pleasure, and I'll throw another couple of logs on the fire. Lovely isn't it!

          Good morning and Happy February!
The spring bulbs are blooming nicely to cheer up the café.
As it is dark and wet outside, we need the addition of the fire, lamps and candles to make it a cosy haven to retreat to for a while.
I will have cafetiere of coffee please, and toast with butter and marmalade.

Very dark and wet here too Gemini, a place by the fire would be good. Crumpets and tea for me please.

Please may I join you. This grey dreary weather calls for a hot chocolate - sprinkles but no cream - and a lovely warm buttery croissant, to remind me of breakfasts in the south of France.

The spring flowers are lovely, Gem, plus fire, lamps and candles - you're spoiling us.

Good morning! Would anyone like to join me in sampling Mariella's Red Velvet Cake with cream cheese frosting. It looks delicious.

I'll have a black coffee with mine, and sit by the window watching the world go by for a few minutes.

Gem - I'm sure if we ask nicely, she'll make one another day.

Can I have a fruit tea please and I will pass on the cake. A very silly man on the radio has just been reading out a list of exercises we should be able to do at certain stages in our lives. In our 60s we should be able to do 12 bodyweight squats, I managed it.....just, hence the no cake and fruit tea !

Why do these supposedly good for us exercises have such awful names! Bodyweight squats sounds like baby elephants with a digestive disorder! But well done, Mimi on hitting your age target.

Hello! I am here for some scones. I heard that, after all the scone talk, Mariella has made a fresh batch of fruit, plain and cheese mini scones.
As they are mini I will have 2 please, with butter and raspberry jam. A pot of earl Grey will go nicely with that on this cold afternoon.

I'm just going to have a mug of warm milk, curl up next to this lovely fire, pull on a throw & have a little nap. Lovely place to relax.
