Time for a nice rest in here before 3 days, (with a break on Sunday afternoon and evening) of childcare!
A mince pie and a large black coffee please. I will sit in the comfy armchair between the fire and the tree and see if anyone else turns up.

I hope you find time in your busy, or not so busy , day to spend some time here.
It is a peaceful festive oasis. carols quietly playing in the background, Christmas tree lights twinkling, candles lit and that welcoming log fire.
I see a fresh batch of both mince pies and coconut tarts have been made.
I will have coffee,and one of each kind please!

Gem - after my early start today, I've earned a break, so may I join you in a coffee and a mince pie. The coconut tarts look beautiful, but they taste of coconut which I don't like. Perhaps I'll be naughty and have a second mince pie. I wonder if this is the batch Plant has baked - they look very professional.

As well as all the usual festive fare, the Tea Room is serving fruit salad with yogurt, and simple meals like poached eggs or scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, to counteract all the stodge

I am heading to DD2s for lunch soon, so will just have glass of iced water and a banana for now please.

It's a cold and frosty morning, but the sun is shining so I'm enjoying a few minutes by the roaring log fire with a cup of hot chocolate. Mmmmmm .....
