Gem - I had a lovely lunch, thank you. It was so lovely to see a group of friends I haven't seen for a while - we shared the ups and downs of a demanding job together for many years and now, finally, we are all retired."Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. Good morning everyone.
As early Christmas decorations have been frowned on by some of the management, I have brought in some autumnal flowers, and candles, to cheer up these darker days!
We don't usually open until 8, but as Mariella has just baked a batch of delicious pastries, I will sneak a couple of those, and set the coffee maker going.

I'll join you for a coffee and a lovely, warm, melt-in-your-mouth pastry.

Hello everyone.
The Tea Room looks very welcoming on a chilly night. The candles add a cosy look.
I have had a lovely lazy day. I had a bath, caught up with some TV, read my book, spent time online. I went out for some petrol this afternoon, but apart from that I stayed home. It was very relaxing.
I need to get ready to go into town to meet my OH and her friend for dinner when they get back from the football match.
Before I do, I will have a pot of Earle Grey please. A slice of cinnamon toast too, as our table isn't booked until 8.15.

Good morning everyone.
I'm not sure who those two ladies are who are having tea.
It's wet and dismal outside. I fancy a Sunday roast today, so I will book a table for 1.30. Roast lamb for me please, and trifle for pud

Ladies, if you're still sitting there enjoying your post-lunch drinks, may I join you?
I'll have a pot of tea and a slice of fruit cake, please.
I love the candles - they add such a warm glow on a chilly November day. I don't know who the ladies are, either, Gem, but they're welcome to bring their tea over to our table! Love their tea cosy hats.
