It is almost May, and it is raining, hailing and snowing outside!!
We have a lovely coal fire here to warm yourself around. Tea and a toasted teacake for me please, I'll bag one of the squashy armchairs near the fire.

No-one in but me. I'll have a scone & a cup of hot chocolate please. Thanks for adding to the squashyness of the armchair Gem. Aaaahhhh time to put my feet up. I have my personal cd player with me, so I'll continue to listen to the story I'm half way through.....'The Book Thief'. I love the ambiance in here.

Well, it's back to winter today with torrential rain and quite chilly, but it's lovely and cosy I here with the fire going and that big squishy sofa to snuggle down into.

I'll have a hot chocolate and a custard donut, please Mariella, and hope someone will come along and join me soon. 👍😀

Well, after the hairdressers and a bit of shopping - nice shopping for birthday presents for 2 friends - I've finally made it back to our reserved table. The sun is shining so the Tea Room windows are thrown open and the tables and chairs are set up in the garden for those who want to sit outside.
I will take my Lady Grey and fruit cake into the garden please.

We have been making the Tea Room a nice place to be on these hot days. Fans keep the tea room cool, parasols provide shade in the garden, and Mariella has made frozen ice cream cakes! I will try some later.

I will have an orange juice with lots of ice please, before I go shopping.

I tried to join you this morning for a cup of tea and one of those frozen ice cream cakes, but I wasn't logged in on my iPad and with GD2 'helping' I didn't manage to log in. So I just had an instant coffee in the kitchen and got on with pretending to be a man-eating (or GD-eating) monster, roaring around.
