I see the pond is frozen , I have just scattered duck pellets over the top so they can have a nibble

May I have a pot of Breakfast tea with sour dough toast and honey please , I will sit at the window and watch them feed .

Mariella took down all the Christmas decorations last night, but has strung pretty little white fairy lights in all the windows to brighten these dark winter days for us.

Good morning - I would have been along earlier but it's been busy at home.

The lights look very pretty and cheery - just what we need these days.

While I'm here I'll have a hot chocolate and a slice of the rich fruit cake, please. I don't know whether to sit by the fire and get warm, or by the window and watch the antics of the ducks round the pond.

The lights on the green are sparkling in the pond - or on it as I bet it's frozen today, so I'll sit in the corner by the window watching all the lights. I hope the ducks got to have a paddle!
