It's Nanto's GD2' 18th birthday and Mr Oma's first birthday celebration - his second birthday celebration is in a few days, I believe.

Mariella has made a magnificent birthday cake for them - I hope everyone enjoys a slice.

Hello Oma - may I join you? I'll sit quietly so you can write your cards - I ought to be doing the same! I'll have a croissant with raspberry jam and Mariella's special cafe au lait. She makes it just like my French friend's mother used to.

As Mariella is closing up and I want to let her get off home by 6, I will go across the road to the Granny's Rest. I feel a warming mulled wine calling me!

It's cosy in here on a dark morning, and the smell of freshly baked bread is wonderful!

I will have a couple of slices of thick granary toast today, please with butter and marmalade. A pot of coffee too. Thanks.

It is a dark day isnt it i wonder if it will brighten up , I hear the school is practicing its carols on the Bandstand today .

Hello, Mariella is giving a chocolate for each customer throughout Advent. A lovely idea!

It's slightly early for lunch, so I will have a coffee and read my Kindle while I think about what to have for lunch.
