All this cheese malarkey is odd to me, MIL, BIL and OH love cheese with their cake but I can't go with the idea at all , perhaps the fact I never eat cheese except for cooking with may have something to do with it. In fact I never knew such things took place till one Christmas when I was having tea with OH's family. I thought they had gone mad !

I was married to a Southerner Mimi (he's now very much an adopted Northerner ) When my mum first offered him Christmas cake with cheese, he thought she had gone mad

Fruit cake with a bit of crumbly Wensleydale, is fab!

good mroning, I hope I'm not too late for Christmas cake and cheese - I'll pop back this afternoon!

For now, I'll just have a pot of tea and two slices of hot buttered toast, and as it's nice an sunny I'll sit over by the window and do some people watching.

Oh dear, it's a bit late for afternoon tea. I'll have to hang on a while and go over to the Granny's Rest later. I'm sure the mulled wine will be ready by then.

                                Breakfast look good!
I was busy with GC so had to miss the Tea Room breakfast.
I am here now though, so coffee and a mince pie would go down nicely.

These two turned up looking for temporary Christmas work. What do you think??
