Sorry I missed out on the Battenberg masterclass. If only I'd know it was Nana in charge, I'd have got a film crew down there and recorded it. Thank you Nana.
Yummy, I like quiche. I wonder what fillings Mariella will come up with. No pressure, Mariella!
I don't want to spoil my appetite for quiche tasting later, but it is lunch-time so I'll have a prawn mayo on brown, with sparkling water and a slice of the delicious Dorset apple cake, please.

I am looking forward to this afternoons Masterclass.
Mariella is teaching us her own speciality, French Pastries
For breakfast today I think I will have porridge, as it was a frosty start this morning. Golden syrup on that please and a few blueberries tossed on for health purposes! And coffee, of course.

Wow, some lovely examples made by Mariella, for us to sample.
I will have 2 or 3 of the tiny ones please and pot of Earle Grey. I will sit by the window in the sunshine, the conservatory is very busy with would-be pastry chefs

Yum, they look delicious, and I'd like one with a strawberry, please. I'm afraid I missed out because I was gardening. But the weather forecast isn't great for tomorrow, so I could have a go then.

It's a beautiful sunny morning, so I'm sitting in the conservatory watching the birds on the feeders in the tea garden and enjoying a glass of freshly squeezed OJ. I've ordered poached eggs on toast for breakfast and a pot of coffee - come and join me.

I've just been chatting to Mariella about the tea garden behind the conservatory. Luckily she'd ordered new tables and chairs, with lovely parasols before the lockdown struck, and they're waiting to be put up when the weather gets a bit warmer.
But the garden's looking a bit sad - the borders are overgrown and there isn't much colour. Any ideas welcome.
