    Afternoon one and all

Yesterday was chaotic I never got on here to post just to read, had the Twins for a few hrs , unbeknown to Dd they were here her family turned up after a visit to a nature reserve starving, the twins love the eldest g/d but boy are they all noisy, toys everywhere, drinks food and that was the adults 6 muffins consumed, 4 brownies, and 3 individual fruit pies, 10 cups of tea and coffee. Actually as chaotic as it was I just went with the flow it was nice to see most of my family together. OH vacced round and I got the twins tea , all toys put on stairs reached about the 7 th step and so each time we went upstairs we took a few toys 😐 Both twins completely potty trained in all aspects and life is so much easier except I’m left with various sized nappies in opened packets.

Gem we are having a roast at lunchtime there is no smell like it when the meat gets cooking !

Sorry you are starting a cold Plant but please stay away from me, and Enfys OH. Hope all goes well tomorrow a rumbling tummy is no joke I bet your not eating much as well . OH goes for yet another CT scan a week today think we might lunch in Leeds that day seems bizarre going for x rays on a Sunday

Oma what are you doing didnt you have an accident the other day 😱 I’m guessing you must be feeling better, I on the other hand am taking it easy today 😓

Enjoy yet another lunch Daisy !

Clover that last piece of upside down is mine !!!!!!

Nan2 great graphic you cheer us all up šŸ˜

My youngest son cooked all of us Sunday Roast today, and very yummy it was! Came home and did a bit of ironing and put a few things in a bag ready to take to Portugal on Friday. Busy day cleaning tomorrow to look forward to!

Friend was very grateful but declined our offer this time, so we are having chicken pie with mash and veg rather than a roast.
Enjoy them those of you who are having them
I hope your poor knee is soon well Oma!
It sounds like my house when all 3 GC have been here Qwerty! Lovely though despite the mess

Lots of busy grannies again! I was feeling very full until I read all the posts about dinners, puddings, pies etc.

Enfys -your poor OH he must be starving. I hope he's got an early appointment so he can eat again.

We arrived at DIL1's just in time to have a quick coffee and then off to the pub for lunch. I'm not a great fan of roast dinners (yes, I know I'm strange!) but today I had the roast pork. The plate was piled so high I could hardly see over it - everything from more slices of pork than I could count with plenty of apple sauce, roasties, sweet potato mash, tenderstem broccoli, carrots, cauliflower cheese - and the biggest Yorkshire pud I've ever seen. It took me about 10 minutes to eat enough to give me space to cut the meat or dig into the Yorkshire pub! I'm afraid I didn't clear my plate, so no afters for me! Then we went back to DS's for coffee/wine etc and DIL's mum and step-father called round for a chat, which was lovely. Eva got a great welcome from Bailey, their dog, and they had lots of fun playing in the garden. GS1 is very good at keeping them occupied, throwing balls for them and playing with toys with them.

I drove back through the wind and rain (it hadn't been too bad all day!) and the M3 was busy, as usual. I'm sure there is more traffic on the roads every time I make that journey! Still, we had a lovely day.

My goodness Daisy that was a plateful, does put you off a bit when they pile it high. I dislike a lot of meat on my plate but want vegetables.

Daisy that's my biggest bug about eating out .
I never finish a plate anyway , but if it comes piled high I instantly loss my appetite ,
I would be happier to choose my own amount just a little at a time then if I want more I can go back ,
Having to fight through food to locate the meat turns me off ,
We have a lovely place where we live does a good Sunday lunch but they always put the meat on the side of the plate usually too many slices but at least you can find it ,

                  Morning all .
This migraine has been hell to shift, though it had disappeared a few days ago but it has refused to leave me completely. I have spent the last few days feeling very dizzy and the pain has been just there in the background. My eyes hurt , It feels as if I have been crying. Saturday I almost passed out while I was in the kitchen.. I have had enough now, what with the not sleeping and feeling generally unwell so I have made an appointment to see the dr and my appointment is in November.! I made the appointment via the on line booking system as it’s impossible to phone and get an appointment for the same day .Phone lines open at 8 , line is engaged constantly and when I do eventually get through all the appointments are gone .

Oma I have seen one or two pubs having the option of a smaller size meal if required.. There is a pub near us that serves a Sunday roast with a two size choice. The smaller one has less meat and instead of the three roast and three boiled potatoes it offers one of each which is far better for myself and OH , after all we only have one of each at home. Unfortunately I have never come across a restaurant that offers this unless you want to have the children’s menu but who wants sausage, mash and beans?

Going to attempt to catch up on tidying up the garden today if the weather will allow, the beds are looking a little unloved at the moment. The winds tore through a lot of the plants and I could do with getting a few up and into pots ready to store in our glass grow house ( not a green house but taller than a cold frame) when the frosts arrive.

Hope everyone is feeling well and have a lovely day
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Daisy, a roast dinner isn't hubby's favourite, but when we go out for a meal, he has a carvery, more often than not.
Must be my cooking he doesn't like. I love a roast dinner.
Cottage pie for us today, with cauliflower cheese, green beans and gravy.

Off to my chores at in laws later.

                        Morning all.
Mimi do take it easy if you do go out gardening, though the fresh air may help to clear your head.
It's very murky here this morning but hopefully it will clear.
Hope Enfys's OH is soon through his appointment and all goes well
I must chase up a hospital appointment.I went to the haematology clinic right at the beginning of May and was supposed to have a follow up appointment in 4 months and now it's nearly November.
I hate having to pester but it sometimes it seems the only way to go.

                          Good morning!

Mimi, I do hope you can get some relief from your migraines. Someone I know has had a lot of ongoing problems with them it was really wearing her down, and as she still works, it was affecting her life a lot. I think one of the things which helped was acupuncture.

Nan2, I'm sure your cooking is lovely!

I hope your busy day goes well Daisy.

How annoying that you have to pester for an appointment Clover

The sun is shining here OH is going to play golf with one of her old friends today. Her friend has now dropped her work days to only 4, so is celebrating her first free Monday with a game of golf.
I have a client to go to this afternoon. This morning I need to cross town to go to my mums bank for her. In between I must do housework, as I have busy few days coming up.

                          Happy Monday Everyone

Very dull here and very still, Brian has left the building. Bowls for me this afternoon but I still have the sniffles so I shall see how I feel.

Thinking about Enfys's OH, hope all is well there and all you other poorly ones.

I did mention the other day that DD and family were going to see a Golden Retriever who will be giving birth to 8 puppies in November. I thought they were going to see whether they were happy to have one from the breeder but no the breeder was interviewing several people to judge whether she was happy to let them buy one of the puppies at the cost of £1,300. Well the outcome was that they did not meet her criteria even though I would fill in the gaps when they were not here. They had a Golden Retriever until recently and my DD was a registered breeder. Apparently she was a peculiar lady and sil wasn't happy to deal with her, so it is back to the drawing board.
