Gem, I loved the video of little E blowing out his candles. You could tell he was really enjoying his celebration. The cake looked incredible - and huge. I bet there was plenty to go round. How lovely that he liked his present.
The curtains washed fine, and dried very quickly. I've just got to shorten them now - I'll probably wait until GD1 comes over on Friday. She's said she will help me.
The sun came out later and the rest of the day has been nice and warm.
Oma, I hope you have a lovely time, and good weather.
Plant, how are you feeling now? I hope you enjoyed a relaxing day in your sun room today.
How is everybody else?

Hi everyone. I’ve been having problems with my iPad so haven’t been able to get here but hopefully sorted now.
Funny old weather, boiling hot, torrential rain and very overcast today. Suits me, I can’t cope with the heat now, it sends my heart rate all over the place, not a nice feeling. Dentist this morning, all ok for another 6 months. Optician soon, and that will be another mot done. Also heard from the specialist about my latest scan. All ok, no cause for concern, ut will have another one in 6 months, I’m pleased they’re keeping their eye on things and at least I know it’s nothing nasty.
I’ve been busy with my knit and natter groups, they are keeping me busy and it makes me get out and about. I don’t mind being at home alone. Ut it’s good to have company sometimes. Hope everyone is keeping well and enjoying the summer, whatever the weather.

Evening ladies we are hear and enjoying a very warm lovely evening ,
its amazing , we are the first people to stay in this static home so it’s shiny and new .
everything you could possibly need plus dish washer and washing machine , a lovely hamper of goodies and a bottle of wine as a greeting .
I will try post some photos but Wi-Fi not great we connected via Bs phone x
Enfys, I glad it was just your iPad that was under the weather, not you. Pleased and relieved the doctor was happy with your scan. xx I can't stand the very hot weather as much as I used to. Nothing would keep me in the house on a baking hot day, but now I find myself wanting a siesta! Your knit and natter groups sound very friendly.
Oma, pleased to hear you've arrived safely. The static looks very luxurious, and how great that you're the first guests there. I used to love our static caravan in Anglesey - it was a home from home, but an escape too.

It's been quite a bit cooler today. We certainly wouldn't have sat outside had it been tonight our friends were here.
Our most fun aqua teacher was there this morning, so a very good session. We haven't seen him the past few Mondays. None of my aqua buddies were there today so no coffee afterwards.
Bedtime now, talk to you tomorrow.

Good morning. Bright this morning, but feels a bit chilly.
Enfys, glad it was good news from the specialist.
Daisy, pleased the curtains washed OK.
Oma, the static looks very nice, enjoy your stay.
Upstairs cleaning for me today.
Yesterday I took some cooked braising steak and onions out of the freezer, along with some homemade potato, swede and carrot mash, do some veggies and that's dinner sorted.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.
Morning Nanto / ladies
A lovely bright morning but still a bit of a nip in the air but that’s ok as long as it’s not raining.
Going to have a leisurely breakfast then have a wander.
Enfys. Great news from the hospital, I bet you feel better knowing it’s nothing nasty to worry about ,
Im not good with heat either , like Daisy I end up needing a Nana nap it’s exhausting 😁
Nanto
Enjoy dinner it sounds lovely .
Gem

Good Tuesday morning everyone. The weather can't make up its mind this morning - I hope it dries the washing though. It's quite chilly.
Gem, have a lovely day with GS1, and happy second birthday to GS3. Your fun aqua instructor must make a lot of difference to the class, but a pity you cuouldn't round it off with a coffee with your friends.
Nanto, dinner sounds delicious - I'm on my way if there's enough to feed another one.
Oma, enjoy your leisurely day. It's good to slow life down for a few days and not have a mental list of things you need to do. I hope it stays dry for you.
If it stays fine I want to get a few loads of washing done today. I need to get the spare room ready for OH's brother and his wife who will be staying with us before and after the funeral. I've got a couple of meals in the freezer so don't have to worry too much about cooking. The rest of this week gets busier after today - dog training tomorrow, hair dresser on Thursday, GD1 and GD2 on Friday, and on Sunday it's GS1's 21st birthday. His party has been postponed until sometime in September, but DIL has invited us for a very small family get together on Sunday afternoon so he doesn't miss out completely.

I can understand your GS's birthday celebration being delayed Daisy, but nice to be at least doing something with the family on the day.
A nice day with GS1! He was very efficient in the library and faster than some of the experienced adult volunteers I think. He said he felt happy and proud when he saw customers coming in, knowing he was helping, a bit like a job for him I think! He also signed up for the Summer Reading Challenge while we were there. He helped me with a small Sainsbury's shop on the way home and we relaxed at home this afternoon, his choice. We bought doughnuts to reward ourselves for our hard work this morning
