Daisy, I hope you are OK this morning. Stress of worrying about loved ones in surgery takes it out of you, especially when it is our offspring or GC.

Library for me this morning. We were very busy last week as it was the first day of opening after the Christmas break. I expect it to be a lot calmer today!
GS1 from school later then to his club after tea. If he is still going, we shall see!

OH and some golf ladies have gone for a walk near Castle Howard this morning. Armed with wellies! It is the monthly committee meeting at the club this afternoon, so she will be occupied most of the day. She has done lot of jigsaw puzzles and TV sport watching lately!

DD coming to collect Storm this morning they got in about 10 last night so all were tired,

Ive done my usual cleaning and hovering , got a couple of Bras soaking before I hand wash them then when Storm goes home I will bung his bed into wash , well the covers anyway the whole bed wouldn’t fit 😁

I haven't had chance to read all your posts yet, but just to say DS1 was bright and cheerful this morning. DIL said he was giving her some cheek! Obviously we'll know more later, but I need to get myself organised. I've spent the last hour or so on the phone.

I am out to lunch today, picking up a friend just after 12. These are my Guiding friends. Will pop into shop after I have dropped friend off, she lives in a Mc.Carthey and Stone flat.

Nanto, you will have a very smart outhouse soon, shouldn’t you call it a utility room now.

Oma, You will miss Storm but not his hairs. I hope DD and family have enjoyed their break.

I was surprised to see on the news last evening that there is flooding quite close to us, good job we live on a hill but of course we are quite close to the Thames.

I had a busy morning at the library but not as busy as last week. I was able to leave at 12 as all my work was done. My knee holds up fine now. I did give myself a blister on my finger from pencil sharpening in the children's library however!

OH came in and out again - a quick change before going to the meeting. There were 21 of them on the walk. They had a lovely time and lunch out too

It's fine here with a hint of sun!

DS say the consultant today, and I'll put the consultant's comments in YEO, but all good news. Not sure yet when DS will be home, probably Thursday. I slept for 9 hours last night but am still tired. I was going to do loads of things today including making a roast dinner, but I haven't felt like doing anything much so the boys and I are going to have sausages!


I do hope Glamm is ok. What an wful thing to happen.

Sorry, hard to keep up with everything else at the moment. I seem to be constantly on the phone.

He said he is glad he went to Auschwitz, he didnt want to go at first but pleased he did it put everything into perspective.

Hallo everyone, very cold here! Windchill is minus 10 degrees. They have told us not to venture out if not necessary, I had cleaned through and thought I would walk to the village, I was warm enough but not my hands, I couldn't get them warm at all so was pleased to be home.

Daisy, pleased to see you DS is making an improvement.

Canto, you will always call it the "outhouse", my mother called the coal shed by that name for years after they had a bunker!

Gem, you seem to be kept busy at the library.

Oma, you are either feeding GS or the dog!!!

No club for GS as it doesn't start back until next week it seems, so that takes care of that this week!
It was very cold out. I was chilly waiting in the car for GS. As I park outside someone's house and it only has a small forecourt not a garden I don't think it's fair to run my engine so close to their window.
I would have been even colder waiting outside, so I should be grateful for small mercies I suppose!

Hope that everything goes well with Daisy's DS recovery and he's home soon. Hope too that all those feeling under the weather are soon back to their old selves. Sending love to Glammx.

It has been a very cold day here, I did get a walk in but the wind was biting. It was lovely to see the sun though!

I've had a chat with DS this evening, and he sounded cheerful. He said he had a headache, and his head hurt a bit and they were two different things! But considering is the first day post-op, he felt really well. Still don't know when he'll be home.

We woke up this morning to a power cut.
Northern Power grid had messaged to say they were aware of it.
It was off about an hour, but seems okay now.

All being well we are having a pub meal today.
