Good Friday morning Bugs Bunny and everyone.

It's going to be anther hot day for us - 27C forecast for this afternoon.

Oma, D must be feeling so uncomfortable with her legs in this weather, poor lady. I hope the hospital can help. I hope your front door gets sorted out this time, but I suppose you won't know until we get some heavy rain.

Gem, at least the mist will have cooled down the garden. Enjoy your free day - aqua then relax!

Plant, I like the heat but yesterday it wiped me out, so you did the right thing relaxing and having a snooze. At least the shops should be cool if you really have to go out today. Well done to H with the potty training. It's such a big step forward, isn't it.

We're going to do some gardening this morning, before it gets too hot. OH is going out tonight so I've only got to do a meal for me - a quick and easy salad probably.

Tomorrow we're going up to DS1's. DS and OH want to get the roof on the lean-to they've built and with holidays etc we haven't seen them for about a month, so it will be good to have a catch up. We'll probably stay overnight and come back Sunday evening, so they don't have to rush and work through the hottest part of the day.

Good Morning everyone,I have finally caught up with myself after coming back from Birmingham the case unpacked and put away until the next time.

Oliver still giving me the cold shoulder after leaving him for a couple of days he is such a spoilt cat.

It was lovely to see my GD yesterday after her first day in YR1 she was full of excitement about her new teacher & a couple of new friends she is growing up so fast before my very eyes.

Whilst shopping yesterday afternoon in B&M I bought 2 x packs of bedding plants for my front tubs my DS & GD potted them for me before she went home she was so proud of her work and gave me the instructions as to watering them.

After enjoying B'ham so much and the fab company I have thought more about York in December and the more I want to go and meet up again (no stopping me now girls) I would really enjoy visiting the Christmas Markets so something to look forward to I think.

Off now to brush my garden from the leaves left after the hedges where trimmed yesterday they do hoover after themselves but quite a lot have dropped overnight I'll take it slowly mind as the back is not too bad today.

Talk soon Glamma ( so glad to be back on the Forum)
        Keep Calm,You're Fabulous

Fabulous to have you back Glamm. I was so lovely to meet you in Birmingham, great you are planning to go to the meet up near Christmas, a bit far for me. I am sure Oliver will forgive you in time.

Glamma, great to see you posting again, and lovely news that you will join us in York in December 😊
We will start a thread on this on Meeting Up in case anyone else wants to join us. I will message Granny Jules. She has joined our York mini get togethers several times.

Did you get the door sealed Oma?

I hope you didn't overdo that gardening in this heat Daisy.

Nan2 I washed towels and they dried in no time.

Aquafit was very hard this morning. I was glad of an easy rest of the day
Lovely day once the mist lifted. I had my lunch in the garden.

Yes Gem he thought it was coming from the corner on the thresh plate, time will tell when it rains again.
He checked all the door seals and said they were ok so it’s a waiting game now 😁

Niceto be able to eat lunch outside for a change ,

              Glamm
Poor Oliver he was put our wasn’t he 😁, Im sure he will come around when he needs food 🤣
So pleased you are coming to York, we don’t rush around we have a nice lunch then a wander around the market , Im sure you will be able to manage it there are no hills thank goodness 😆

After lunch we went to Dalton park to the Lindt shop, B spent a fortune as he always does .
He does like his Lindt chocolate ,
Mind you I popped a few of the pick and mix in the bag also, a couple of dark chocolate ones and a couple of baileys.
I had a baileys sweetly after tea it was lovely 😁

We went to Morrisons across from there , I did want a box of Kellogg’s crunch cluster cereal, but a small box was £ 3.59
I wouldn’t buy it just on principle, how can they charge that for a few oats and nuts .
I will see what ALDIs own make are I will give them a try, if I don’t like them I won’t buy them again but you never know they may be nice.

Wedding day for DS2 and his fiance.

I'll probably do a bit pottering round till it's time to get ready.

Good morning, Nanto, how nice, have a lovely day!xx

It is still far too hot here, just surviving!

Oma, cereals are expensive here, I have got my mixed grains from a man in the market for years, they have doubled in price.

I will try and post more later, on my way to the Lidl!

                    Good morning ladies.

Happy wedding day to them Nan2, wishing them a happy life together.

I hope it cools down soon for you Lizzie. You will be glad of the autumn weather!

It was lovely warm evening last night. We ate our meal outside and sat out until after dark.
We plan to have a drive out somewhere today, not sure where yet. OH will be on the golf course tomorrow and I think we are both busy every day next week so it will be nice to go somewhere together.
Friends have invited us to them for a meal tonight, so no cooking

We're off to DS1 and DIL1's in a few minutes, back home tomorrow night. I'll try and pop in later, but sometimes time seems to fly by incredibly quickly!

Gem, enjoy your day out today. xx

Nanto Happy wedding day for GS2 and his partner. At least you know the sun will be shining.

Managed to get some food shopping done yesterday, then I drew the curtains, put the fan on and after dinner I watched a very exciting game of rugby. Village Show today, I have made some fruit crumbles for the cake stall the WI run. I shall be watching England Rugby match later.

Oma, most shops have the cluster type cereal now but I am finding there are less nuts now in the Dorset cereal I buy.

Glamm, I hope Oliver has forgiven you for leaving him. I am sure treats will bring him round to love you again. I wish York wasn’t so far away.

Safe journey I hope it’s not too hot for J and DS doing that shed roof xx

Yesterday we went into the Grape tree it’s sort of a whole food shop, there’s were ridiculous prices,
The smallest bag they had was £6 , it seems the same everywhere.

Did my housework early before it became to warm , we then went to Lidl lovely and cool in there but by gum when we came out the heat hit us and it’s not even 10 am yet so the day is only going to get hotter.

I had a message from my lovely pal in Scotland she & her hubby just back from Madeira poor things where bitten to death with mosquitoes and her hubby felt rough yesterday morning after checking he tested positive for Covid poor man she said the plane was sprayed prior to take off as well so he is very unlucky.I have told my Angie to wear her mask when travelling out to Turkey at end of the month.

DS has brought me a nice piece of beef for Sunday lunch & some Jersey Royals he does spoil me that boy but there is a method in his madness, mum will cook for him he's not daft my boy.

Oma your review on The Ivy was underneath mine on TripAdvisor how spooky is that ?

My tubs look nice on my front garden DS & DGD planted them out for me she was so precise as to where they where placed in the tub she then watered them for me because "your back is poorly nana" such a caring little person.

To-day is The Southport Air Show and yesterday afternoon The Red Arrows flew down the Mersey to land at Blackpool Airport it was a magnificent sight I watched from my back garden then 4 x massive Army Helicopters flew past such a wonderful sight.

Off now to carry on with the fallout after having hedges trimmed I only managed to get it half done yesterday, will catch up soon enjoy the week-end ladies x
