Just said hello to what I am hoping is a new member from America called Lillywalker, I hope it is genuine.
Just had an invite to lunch with DS and Dil over the weekend, not sure which day yet. Off to Aqua now then coffee stop with Aqua friends, will check in later.

      Good morning all.

Goodness where does the time go. I’ve been busy reclaiming the house after family’s visit! OH’s ankle is getting on but still painful though not as excruciating as it was. It’s still a bit swollen but it’s a challenge to get him to keep it elevated. We have been going for short walks on even, flat ground.

Unfortunately due to using the towel rail to help him off the loo OH has caused it to fall off the wall. There I was trying to fix it with G watching. Sadly a real role reversal. I have done a Heath Robinson repair but managed to mildly damage the wall. Now I’ll have to hunt for Polyfilla.

I echo all Daisy’s comments on everyone’s posts. How lazy is that

Gem I hope your hand soon de- numbs for you to drive to see your sister.

Two washing loads done and another in.Must get hanging out

      Have ve a good day.x

Good morning all. Its a quick Hello from me today as we have the whirlwind that is know as GS is coming to stay today. He will be stopping overnight and going home tomorrow evening.

Clover I've got the washing on . its lovely to be able to hang it outside isn't it The towel rail incident reminds me of when we lived in the house. The hose was the sort that was built in the blink of an eye, it was timber framed with plasterboard interior walls. When DS was just a lad , he was playing in the bedroom when he managed to knock a huge hole in the wall with his elbow ( he was dancing at the time ) . It was hell to repair .

Oma how did B's scan go ?

Gem, what a pair you and OH are. Hope you are both feeling better

        Have a good day everyone
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Plant - thank you for the kind welcome. Sadly the lady in question is 26, so I don't think she will have many grandchildren for a few years to come. But you're right, it would be lovely to have some new members.

Clover and Mimi - I've opened the lid of our laundry bin - and closed it quickly! I've still got so much ironing from the washing-fest at the week-end that I definitely don't want to add to it. Hopefully the weather will hold and I can do it another day!

Clover - poor G, he must be fed up with being in pain with his ankle, but I'm sure the gentle walks will help with keeping muscle tone and flexibility. My sympathies over your DIY work - patching up plaster is really hard. xx

I have had my injection which was painful but is less so now.
We managed the car between us
I have to do Mums shopping and drive us to and from my sister's (25 minutes each way) I can rest it later though!

Clover we had a special rail fitted for my dad to hold onto to pull himself up from the loo (which Mum uses as a towel rail) They are more firmly attached so suitable for hanging onto.
            Enjoy GS staying Mimi.

We get these ridiculously young members joining every so often. Daisy or I usually delete them before anyone notices they were here!

DD3's Mothers Day card just arrived from Canada. Better late than never

              Morning ladies ( just )
B's bone density scan was a quick in and out job will get results in a week or two , they expect it to show thinning after all the drugs hes been on so wont be any surprise if it shows that ,
Went shopping this morning to Morrisons , bumped into a old school friend I haven't seen for about 20 or more years , nice to catch up stood chatting to her for about 20 mins ,walked away and bumped into B's sister , stood another 10 mins talking to her then said would meet her at the car and take her and shopping home , she took ages

Came home had a hot drink then I went out front to brush the drive and spray weed killer around and water the little fern trees I have in pots ,
B's is currently hoovering garden and alley way with garden vax
Surprising what you get done when the sun shines

Our new Armchairs are coming between 1-4 today so cant go out again till they come ,

Clover G's ankle must have been a bad sprain to last this long poor man ,
You doing well sorting jobs out that he would have done give yourself a pat on the back well done xx

Daisy that's the trouble with washing you have to iron it too

              Mimi have fun with GS

Plant a nice day for Aqua and of course the meetup after xx

Gem I must admit I smiled at the thought of you two driving the car between you each having a rubbish hand each
Hope you find your sister well xxxx

Nanto beautiful graphic as usual as ive said before you brighten my day , thank you for taking the time to find them I for one appreciate them

                    Oma, chairs look lovely.

After hubby had done the roof of outhouse,we decided to sort it on the inside.
It's where my other freezer is and where i charge my Dyson.
Hubby started sorted through his junk, sorry his tools and gadgets.
Needless to say, everything got put back, because you never know when you might need it.

Nanto we ar going through the same thing I had to drag him away in St Anne’s in St Gemma’s a hospice shop and steer him clear of the tools

I survived the drive and we had a nice visit to my sister.
I left mum happy at home with fish and chips we picked up on the way back.
We will have her over for lunch on Monday.

It sounds as though everyone has been busy today!

Good morning Nan2 and ladies passing by later.

The sun looks as though it is trying to peek through here Nan2.
No plans here either, but OH wanted to go to The Range or somewhere I think. She also, with my assistance (inept though it will be) wants to assemble the new garden furniture we bought a while ago.
Our green garden waste bins were not emptied yesterday, and today is recycling, so our road is very untidy with green bins and recycling boxes everywhere! let's hope something is collected today.

                              Have a good day everyone.

Good morning, Nanto. thank you for another very pretty graphic -so cute.

I didn't manage to get back on here yesterday - mainly because of my own stupidity! I'm in the process of giving my study/GCs' bedroom a good clear out (badly needed) and got OH to move something heavy so I could hoover behind it. He then went out for the evening, but it meant I couldn't literally get to the computer!!

This morning hasn't started well. My back is playing up - hopefully will be better after a shower and some gentle moving round - and Bailey has managed to claw my eye. He's got a habit of 'pawing' for attention, and he pawed as I turned over in bed and opened my eyes. Ouch! It feels a bit sore and is red but it's just the white part thank goodness!

Qwerty - the flowers must have been a lovely surprise. I think you will still be celebrating this birthday at that event in December! You've got a lovely family and very good friends. I'd never heard of pasta or curry when I was 4, either!

Gem - I like your new Avatar. I'm glad you sister was ok, and I'm sure your mum enjoyed her fish and chips. Good luck with the garden furniture.

Nanto - well done on all the sorting out. My OH is just the same as yours - he won't get rid of anything in case it comes in handy one day. But I've now got a huge crate of toys to go to the charity shop - things the GDs have grown out of playing with - so I hope he doesn't cast his hoarding eye over those!

Clover - how is G today? I hope he's making progress, poor chap.

Mimi - the story about your DS dancing his way through a wall reminded me of some lovely neighbours years ago. They were brand new houses and the husband tried to put a mirror on the bathroom wall. He wasn't great at DIY, and ended up with about half a dozen really huge holes!

Plant - enjoy your lunch with DS and family over the week-end.
