The Children Act by Ian McEwan. Wednesday April 22nd, 7 - 8pm

As we had no other suggestions and this does sound good this will be our first book club read.
I have chosen Wednesday as that is the night we have previously had. It's not set in stone, if most people prefer another night of the week we will change.
Also, the date can be changed if any of you can't make that one. I had to set a date, but it's negotiable!
I hope we get lots more members this time

I have made this a Sticky to keep it at the top. I will unstick it after the discussion.

It was recommended by MinnyString, Plant, and sounds interesting.

I bought one from Amazon for my Kindle for £2.80.

I really think this will be a book to make everyone engaged. Don't get put off because the main character is a judge and quite well to do - she's just like so many of us and the dilemmas and decisions she has to make are often heartbreaking.

It sounds an interesting read, and a very good one to get the Club going. Date and time ok for me Gemini.

Would love to join you, but I'll be in Prague then adding a few days on to our trip to see DS. Will try and get book from library and have a read though.

WG, either you could add your comments to the discussion later, or we could change the date! We want to include as many as want to join in

Probably easier if I add my comments later G.
