How is Oliver Twist going Oma?
I have 53minutes left so will finish it today or tonight. So gripping! This is my favourite so far of the 3 classics I have read this year.

I am only 47% through Gem I didn't read much at all yesterday ,
It was one of those days when I kept reading the same line over and over and not getting any further being tired .

I must admit the book is so much better than the film although there are sections that waffle on that isn't needed but loving it

I finished it! A brilliant book, but the final paragraph was a little odd I felt.

I have underlined the books I have read so far (you can tell it is lockdown!)
Not sure what next month's choice will be yet.

Finished it and I agree Gem the last Paragraph made me feel there should be something else , not sure what but it seemed to be unfinished

Yes, maybe we should write our own ending paragraph Oma 😊

I'm saving that for my December read
Oma, have you read David Copperfield? If not I recommend adding that to your list. It is one of my favourite books and I have read it several times.

Honestly Gem it was so easy to read , I also think when you really enjoy a book it can be hard to put down

Oma - that's the only thing I don't enjoy about reading - getting to the very end of a really good book! I feel quite sad, and been so absorbed by the story that it takes me a while to get back to 'reality'.

I am struggling with Pride and Prejudice! I read and enjoyed Emma as a young woman, but am only continuing this one as it is part of my personal challenge .I am finding it in the most part tedious and I don't really care who marries who!
Perhaps if I had read it when younger as I did Emma I would have enjoyed it?
I am almost halfway through so will plod on.
