    New Adam Kay

Have just bought the latest Adam Kay, supposedly for a gift, but I may read it myself first! "Twas the nightshift before Christmas." I read an extract in one of the weekend magazines and it is very funny!

Is he the man who wrote the hospital one? I forget the title but I have read it. About the life of a doctor.

Yes he wrote about life as a junior doctor! I bought that one too but can’t remember the title!

It was ‘This is Going to Hurt’. If his new book is as funny and thought provoking it will be a good read. 😁

I've got "Twas the nightshift before Christmas" on my Kindle but haven't read it yet. The first one "this is Going to Hurt" was, as Grauntie said funny, thought-provoking and ultimately sad as I felt it was a pity such a good, conscientious doctor had left the profession he'd trained to hard for.

I enjoyed “ This is going to hurt” so I’ll have to track down this new one.

I read this over Christmas. It was quite short, and concentrated mainly on Adam Kay's work as a gynaecologist/obstetrician. There was the same mix of funny stories and some sad ones. No spoilers - so I won't say any more.
