          It is judgement day today!
          I feel surprisingly nervous.
As a new writer I don't really expect her to win, and she has done amazingly well to get so far.
          I am still hopeful though

She was on our local news, but it didn't say if she'd won or not.

Gem - I haven't had chance to post about this, but at the week-end she was joint third favourite to win, so even though she didn't get the coveted prize she has still done incredibly well - especially with her first book. There are lots of authors with years of experience and 20 books under their belts who haven't achieved what she has done.

You must all be really, really proud of her.
